Just Harvested... Purple ICE!!

Thanks! Ice is a lite-medium feeder and benefits from a lite PK boost. Careful not to overfeed: less is more with this gal. Really packs on very dense and trich'd out buds. 60-70days flowering if you like a lil amber. 10/10 for bag appeal, if that's what yer into.

Will get better with 3 week cure, but so far the buzz is very mellow and relaxing... perfect for that right-after-work hitter. She can't take ya through the night, though IMO, as I prefer something stronger like AK-47 to cap off the evening. Decent taste and smell. Not *crazy* special aside from looks and yield. Would be fun to add some of these indigo-purple genes to bubblegum-based strains.

I smoked an Ice/great garberville x G-13 cross. flat out one of the best custom crosses I have ever had.

Just chopped the other Ice and it's totally different... looks like it'll be a stronger high: smells more sour, has more trich density, and no purple whatsoever, and hairs are more orange. Same yield looks like... the purple one had 60g dry sharing a 400HPS, by the way. Pictures of the other Ice coming soon.

My digital camera is total garbage, even at 8 MP it is near impossible to take a good closeup. I think its time for an SLR , auto focus is garbagio.

I hear ya NolBC, it's not the megapixels that count...these days magepixels are cheap to produce and every camera maker keeps squeezing more pixels onto their digital sensor. Auto focus, point and shoots have their place and use fer sure, but I definitely like results from my digital slr gear.

I have noticed that the electronic ballasts cycle alot quicker than the magnetic ones do also, you have to time when you snap your shot under them. Auto focus can got to hell you are right there. Not to mention all of the reflective on the walls, all I get is backflash, it's like close encounters of the third kind when I try and take a pic with this crappy thing. Definitely investing into or borrowing a SLR in the near future.

Just to show how unstable (but still tasty and pretty) Nirvana's strains are, here is a shot of the other Ice girl I had going... totally different look and high to the purple pheno, but there is a similar smell between the two.

if you don't mind me asking, what lens are you using for your macro shots, and are you using a macro ring flash or off camera stobe?

Thanks gn00h, kushsmokester, and weedshooter. i use the Canon mp-e for the macros, and i like natural sunlight, but even tho, the ring flash would not allow super close-ups with that particular lens.

The purple ice is a nice stone and fun to shoot, but the purple white widow are even better. for fun strains to shoot, get some Nirvana beans cause he mixes a good purple skunk with the standard genetics. lots of purples in the genetics
