"If I get cornered at a patch instead of trying to convince somebody I'm the bird man I'll be laying down some covering fire and getting the fuck outa there.

Lol.

Nobody means that you're actually a terrorist, he's just saying what the govt will treat you as if captured; guns make it look like you're part of distribution and dealing with serious criminals, and add a lot to what they charge you with.

That said, I've never been to Texas, and will trust your judgment on that one :p.

Oh, my mistake. Man everybody carries here. I have a concealed handgun license issued to me by the State of Texas. You can carry in your vehicle without a license. I don't carry weed and guns at the same time. That's asking for trouble. I'm just a typical Texan:nanana: Let's get back on topic this is Crash's thread. Sorry Crash!

"I'll be laying down some covering fire and getting the fuck outa there. I'm not a blood thirsty terrorist and don't appreciate that comment. I'm just a realist! By the way putting down covering fire and shooting someone are two different things. I better clarify before you jump all over that too!"[/QUOTE]

Wow things like this actually make me glad to live in the uk!if u open fire on feds of any kind never mind getting locked up in a cell it will be in a pine box! Can i please be the first to ask for your remains to compost so at least some good comes from the situation!:fsu:

Sorry, Tex ... forgot the "quotes"

Sorry, Tex ... forgot the "quotes"

Ouch!

I made those "terrorist" comments to be sarcastic, and they should have been posted in quotes so their intent would be obvious.

My mistake.

Sorry for the confusion.

But then again ... Texas has always been a bit confusing.

The cops there get suspicious if you actually Use a Turn-signal!

I leave a standard size shovel and 5 gallon bucket near my site. The shovel is fiberglass with black handle and black teflon coated blade. It lies under a thorny bush covered in leaves. The 5 gallon bucket is black and the handle is hooked to a nail in a tree in a different direction. When possible, I tote gallon jugs of water to leave near site covered by camo cloth in dense brush.

Why do they lock gas station bathrooms? Are they afraid someone will clean them?

Same here except I buy a $5-7 full size wallyworld shovel with a wooden handle and metal blade. Let lay in some dead grass for cover and it will soon be rusted and weather worn and will fit right in with everything else. I buy one and leave it at every grow site. I also leave two 5 gal buckets buried in the ground at every grow site.

Went back to one that I hadn’t used in 3 years and everything was still there. Pack the shit in once and you can use it forever. Buy a lid with a gasket for one of your 5 gal buckets and you can keep nutes and mold/insect spray in all season.

My one addition would be some 1-1/2 – 2 inch diameter hemp rope say 10 feet with a hook secured on the end. If you have ever had to wade down a bank into the water and then try and trudge back up with a 5 gal bucket of water it looks like a heard of buffalo went through after you get 4 buckets of water.

It’s so much stealthier/easier to get water from a stream. Just put the hook on the bucket throw it in and pull it up and fill the second bucket. Repeat until both are ¾ way full.
PEACE

one thing that comes to mind that i like to have with me is a change of clothes for when i return to the real world after a day of mucking around in a swamp. it's hard to come up with excuses for why you're wet and muddy up to your waist, have blood and sweat stains all over your t-shirt, dirt under your fingernails, etc and you're driving out of the wilderness. also could come in handy if, god forbid, somebody sees you and you have to flee. can't be identified as the muddy man in the woods if you're wearing jeans, a clean shirt and shoes. also, i kind of prefer a hatchet or perhaps a machete to clippers, a little more versatile it seems, but then again i just kinda like to chop shit sometimes....great thread by the way. i'll probably come up with more ideas as i finish up the planting phase here.

Thanks for bringing this up, I usually pack extra runnning shoes and clean threads. I change in the thick brush before I get back to civilization.
This year I brought in a few materials needed to put together a cold frame in the woods. I used a cardboard box (dismantled and folded), large clear plastic bag, clear acrylic window, box cutter / exacto, packing tape. Basically, I cut the top off the box, reinforced the sides of the box with the tape, put the box in the clear bag, cut a few holes into the sides, and placed the acrylic window over the top to hold it in place.. cheap, inexpensive way to grow seedlings in the bush safely.
