Anybody see this movie?? I have to say this film really got to me, I actually cried cuz it's real and happened to so many people who didn't deserve to die... Well I just saw this the other night and was curious what my fellow IC members thought about the film...

I havent seen it yet. I try to stay away from emotionally charged flicks. I have enough stuff going on in my own life that makes me want to cry.

I hear it is a good movie though.

While I feel that there are WAY too many films about the holocaust, anything with a unique or interesting perspective is refreshing and worth watching.

I just wish they'd keep to short films. Just as powerful, for a subgenre that is so tired.

I sympathise with all holocaust survivors and we should never dilute in any way those events. I worked in Manhattan for many yrs & eventually saw hundreds of survivors with tattooed numbers on their arms, it never failed to move me. A very close high school friend of mine had a grandmother who survived as did his mother the concentration camps, his grandfather died there though.......

I haven't seen this movie yet but look forward to it in the most respectful way.

wanna powerfull experience about the hollocaust, go to the concemtration camps in germany, and austria.

I liked this one as it does the kid's perspective very well which is why it's worth watching over conventional holocaust films. You initially despise the little nazi kid but end up liking him a lot and the ending was genius. Great acting all round.

I should add, i knew the son of a white supremacist, lil blonde, blue eyed kid. He was actually my best friend... Even at 8 years old he knew that his father was a fucking moron. Why? because we went to a diverse school(he was actually one of the "trucked in" kdis that would usually be minorities, he actually lived in a trailer park on the outskirts of an affluent jewish and immigrant community).

But when you coner them away from all other views, how are kids supposed to know what is actually right???

I think this movie is particularly poignant right now because of the fact that a Nazi Youth is in a position of, if not power, influence. But i think the popes brainwashing was complete...

My mom actually won a free On Demand movie from watching Ellen lol but yea you can rent it On Demand if you have Comcast that was how I saw it... The ending was very powerful, and showing the war through the kids eyes is very interesting. He really thought "Pavel" quit his job as a doctor to peel potatoes... The similarities in what the people were told about Jews as we are told about Iraq's people and Afghanistan. What bothers me most is that the average person it too brainwashed to wake up and question things. It scares the FUCK out of me knowing that people high in the US government were nazis and most have been members of secret societies that take their symbolism from the SS. The Skull n Bones pin, the 332 ect

yes that was a quote from the movie, what's sad is those soldiers really believed that. Not to mention most of them were spun out of their mind on Methamphetamine which was created by Hitlers scientists and he was receiving injects daily. After I learned that I really started to noticed just how spun he was. If you watch his speeches knowing that you can tell he was tweeking HARD jaw clenched and all lol... Piece of Shit Motherfucker I hope he's rotting in Hell
