oh and actually.. i believe that a while ago dj lost the father or mother of the original bluberry? or something? and so maybe other seed banks actually have more of the Real blueberry.

first post! i've been browsing a short while - but gotta put something into a kiwi thread!
grown this year... a couple of kiwi seeds offerings - 2 pounder and daddy's girl. did okay. but had a couple of people try it - both are almost pure sativa (plants that is, not the people). is it a kiwi thing of most smokers that they seem to not be out of it unless "couch locked" with a body whacking indica? verses the cerebal sativa? what does everyone think?

Hey guys, back again but this time indoors. I'll explain a little what happened. I was very late planting my beans this year, ended up getting 1 female and 2 males, pulled the males which was gutting because how nice they were! Got given some pretty sick looking clones in feb. I planted them outdoors and they went straight into flowering, the yield was looking pathetic but I really liked the genes (although my mate has no idea what they are) so ended up buying a grow tent and making a indoor setup (take pics tonight).

I put them under the 400w light, removed the bud that was ripe and left some lower bud on them to allow them to reveg. Reveg was very intresting, first time i've ever done that..I couldn't believe the amount of regrowth that was coming out of the plant new shoots everywhere! I can see why people say switching to 18/6 after few weeks in 12-12 could improve yields! but...the hermie risk is too great for me to try on this grow..

Heres a very grim pic of how they looked after starting to reveg..looking very poor...

And a pic showing regrowth and a little lst.

and a few pics of outdoors 08 - just to show im not a total ammature!

you'll love the indoor life dobo.

As much fun as big fuckoff outdoor plants are, you cant beat the feeling of opening up the cupboard door and seeing the mass of green leaves reaching for the lamp- and its so easy!

Thanks Guys!

FarmerGreen- Yeah I do love the indoor life, so much easier to control and no damn pests or risk being spotted! I have done one indoor grow before but it was my first time growing and I had a pretty bad setup, I made the mistake of thinking that bigger plants = bigger on my first indoor grow..not true when you think about how many of the lower branches don't receive any light.

This time around I decided to do scrog but was too slow getting the screen built and setup so I just lst'd the plants to create a dense even canopy. I got 6x 33 litre pots - divided the soil in 2 by putting a dividing board so each plant would have 16 litres of soil each.. So all up I think I planted 12 but left 2 of the bigger plants on their own to see if giving them more soil (all 33 litres) would make big impact on the yield.

Next problem I had is because its winter in NZ im having some shocking temperatures! -8 isn't uncommon, now im growing in a shed outdoors that gets very cold, so I had to insulate the area to prevent the temps dropping too low, I put a small 600w heater in there, hooked up to a thermostat to keep the temp at around 20-22 degrees.

Next problem I had was keeping my clone and mother plant cupboard warm , thought long and hard about it then I had an idea (could be a bad one!), but I used the warm exaust air from my main grow to heat my cupboard, I drilled hole in base of cupboard and vented the warm air from the bottom of the cupboard and left a hole in side to allow it to flow up to the top, seems to work well and has dramatically bought the temps up. Just hope theres enough fresh air to keep them growing healthy.

unfortunately I only just got it all hooked up so my mother plants took a turn for the worst and the low temps really damaged the plants, so I had to put them into flower for a few days to try save them! So the mother plants are not great at the moment looking very sick, might take some clones off the lower branches of the flowering plants and see how they turn out..just asking for problems I know but I had no options...have to see what happens! have a few seeds that i'm going to germinate too, Nivarna white widow and some hindu kush x amsterdam flame freebies i got years ago plus some random bagseed. Want to get a few different types growing and experiment with genetics a little ;) So if any kiwi's wanna swap clones them pm me, looking for plants that mature in 6-8 weeks.

Enough talking, heres some pics a month later from pics I posted earlier.
