Epsoma GardenLime granulars instead of Dolomite

So, I have this batch of super dank, all organic soil/compost mix that has been ageing in a clean trash can in my garage for like the past 2 1/2 months. Anyways I put like 1/4 cup of this Garden Lime granular stuff I bought at Home Depot into my 40 gallons of soil when I first mixed it all up.
Today I transplanted like 8 plants into my organic super soil. I put the soil in the bottom half of the pot and then I put the transplants ontop and fill the gaps with the soil I used to start growing the plants.
Anyways, after I transplanted like 8 plants I decided to check the PH. WOW, the super dank soil/compost was 4.0, while the plants that got transplanted are like 6.0
Im pissed, that stupid GardenLime granular shit I bought did absolutley nothing!
What should I do, go buy some Dolomite lime and just mix it in to water and give it to my plants every watering? Or should I pull the transplants back out, dump the bottom part of my super soil into a pile and mix in some Dolomite and then re-transplant over?

First of all, you only used 4 tbs for 40 gallons. You need to use 2 tablespoons per gallon. 40x2=80/16tbls/cup = 5 cups

You need to add another 4 3/4 cups of lime to your mix. The Espoma garden lime is fine, the grains dissolve as soon as water is applied. Grind it in a coffee grinder if you want.

Second, espoma is dolomite, its just got the binder in it. Its not true granular, or pelletized, as it breaks down much faster. Someone posted a pictorial of it dissolving in a cup of water within an hour or so.

Cha bro, I already knew that, I was just testing you. JK :)
Well now I know for next time, but what should I do, start adding more epsoma to my water when I do my watering, or should I take the transplants out and dump all the soil into a pile and add more epsoma, then re-plant the transplants?

Hmm, thats a tough one. If you just transplanted in the last day or so, go ahead and dump it out, but be real gentle with the roots. If they have been in for a few days, you might be able to get away with top dressing with an additional 2 tbs/gal. When you water it will work it in.

Also, I would grind some up in a coffee grinder and mix it in to the water at 1tbs/gal for the first one or two waterings, just to get it into the soil, in case the top dressing isnt enough.

Thanks brother. I went ahead and since I did just transplant them, the soil and the roots held the soil clog together so I could just lift them back out. But bro Im so not bullshitting you, I transplanted the first plant 2 days ago right, I tried to pull that girl out and it was stuck tight in the new bucket. So I reached down the sides to pull it out and I heard hella pops and snaps and that little girl grew 2-3 inches of root in 60 hours. The original buckets were 2 gallons and had a 10 inch diameter, the new homes are 5 gallon, with I think a 12 inch diameter. Is that possible? I mean the roots were a little root bound in the old bucket. I did soak the soil with water mixed with maple syrup, AN Parana, and AN Voodoo Juice. Hmm, somethings telling me that Im gonna get some weight off of this bad girl.
Thanks again for the help, bro.
