i left my stuff to hang for too long and now its bone dry, an ammount that should weigh around 1000g is only weighing in at around 750,

what is the best way to rehydrate? any tips?

I too want to know how or if you can do this. My last grow I let one plant dry too much before jarring, and it ended up with a bit of a green taste.

Yeah, i'd love to find an article or thread about proper sweating of bud.
if all my stuff stays 25% too dry im looking at a loss of like 4 grand over the whole harvest which sucks ass

toss everything in a rubbermaid... throw in a couple lettuce leafs.... close it up. rearragne everything a couple times a day to promote even moisture throughout and to ensure mold doesnt form where the lettuce is. or you can use fresh trim instead of lettuce if you've got it around.

although i've never remoistened more than an ounce... so maybe some others on here have more experience. but when i needed it this method worked for me every time with absolutely no issues. just leaves a bit of a green smell from the lettuce but you've gotta decide if you'd rather have the weight or the smell. let us know how it turns out.

Iv had to do this several times, and i have found that if the buds are flat on a screen still you can dust very lightly with a very fine mist of water,

Then put the buds in garbage bags or a tote and put that in a very hot room so the moister inside becomes more active and spreads through the bag,

The next step is to add bread ( i find crap white bread the best as it has the least flavor), the reason i use bread is it has zero effect of the smell and flavor as far as i can tell, just put lots of slices of bread in the garbage bag, distribute them in the bag well, placing at the bottom and all through the weed, then place the bag in a hot room and it will sweat the moisture out of the bread and even out the moisture in the buds.

Note bag must be done up tight so the moisture dosnt escape when you put it in a hot room.

Rather than lettuce or orange peel, couldn't you just use a wet paper towel so as not to add any taste or smell?

i use orange peel too - although i havent noticed it affecting the smell or taste of the weed.

if you have a wet, rainy day (high humidity) then leave it out for a few hours or take it into the bathroom, shut the door and have a nice long bath! :joint:

Will these techniques work for a small amount too? I got some from my buddy and it's really dry, crumbly to the touch and I'd like to add a little moisture to it.

Wait...What?

People who spray buds with water need a swift kick in the pants.

take a frozen baby carrot and dip it in distilled water, then put it in the jar with your harvest. it wont add anything but moisture.

lol i ended up putting it all in a garbage bag with cucumber slices.

I was gonna weigh the ammount i felt i was missing in water, and spray that in there. But the cucumber did the job...

still like 200g short on the whole pile :( but i'll just have to put more effort in during the next run...

The spraying is only feasible to add a tiny amount back and the bud needs to be on the screen, so you dont get any one bud wet.

I fail to see how a very fine dust with water, and i mean a very light dust with water before they go into a bag to sweat is any different or worse for the bud than say a cucumber slice or some bread,

note, the bread is by far the best method in my opinion because not only does it add no smell or taste, it is not wet to the touch as such, and actually feels dry when u touch it, unlike most other suggestions here, the moisture is locked inside the bread, after sweating it draws it out and the bread is brittle and snaps, also a good way to tell how much your buds are sucking out of the bread, the only thing i would say is that because the moister is in the bread the bag with the weed in needs to go into a hot room so it sweats out and evens through the weed.

Trust me try the bread, iv tried many different ways, orange peel, lettuce, wet cloths and bread is no doubt the way to go in my opinion, everything else made the buds against it super wet to begin with till it sweated, and this seemed to have a bad effect of those buds flavor.
