Yup, my lil grow room was busted at the end of February. I am so fucking pissed but thats what I get for breaking a gloden rule and growing and having a room mate. He got the appartment raided because apparently he was bringing blow down from new jersey and sold it to a CI. Apparently the cops didn't even know about my little secret until he sold me out trying to cut a deal but there was no lawyor present so they didn't give him shit (ha). I had know idea he was bringing coccaine back oz's of coccaine on the weekends then selling it to local dealers... ( we didn't talk much) In fact the only reason he knew about my room was because he barged in on me one day giving the girls a good trimming.

I am however lucky, I was busted in Pennsylvania were if you have 10 or more plants its a mandatory minimum of 1 year in prison. I had 9... So now I am being charged with 1 misdimeanor possesion of a controlled substance 1 misdemanor possesion of drug paraphenalia and 1 felony manufacturing w/ intent to distribute (never sold a gram in my life but if ur growin in pa its automatic attempt to distribute..) They are also trying to say that it was a school zone because there is a church on the other side of the block but my lawyor said that its doubtful that they would try to hold that against me.

Man I am fucked. From what I hear once you get a felony your pretty much fucked for life especially since I am 21. Anyone that has been in a similar position (getting busted) have any advice? I am not so much worried about jail its the criminal record that has me scared especially with the scarcity of jobs nowadays. My law smith says that the warrant is fucked up but he also said that if we try to supress they might try to go after the whole school zone thing and if they did that would mean 2 years in state. I really don't know if I want to make that gamble. Even if I get a plea bargain I doubt that they will lower it to a misdemeanor.

yea you prolly live in the decent parts of pa I was in Chester county were every block has a strip mall and the douchbags are plentiful. I think once this shit blows over I am moving out to norcal and getting my 215 the main reason I grow is because I am a walking wreck severe add, chronic depression and anxiety, chronic back pain(grew up farming), and insomnia.

Can't belive you can get into so much trouble over a plant...

If it is your first offense,you wont go to jail. Go to court when you have to!
They will probably drop the felony charge, and that should be what your lawyer is fighting for. If they don't have evidence of you selling to anyone, that one wont stick!

Sorry to hear of your situation. Did the church have a daycare also, or was the school charge because of sunday school being taught there........any idea? Seems like Separation of Church and State should do away with that charge regardless. Interested to know what your lawyer has to say about that one!

Fucked up to hear bro, I hope shit works out for you sending some good karma your way. You shouldnt ven stay with someone you don't really know cuz you never know what they are involved with. the one good thing in this whole situation is that the dumbass pigs didn't find my seed stock! They were in gram bags stuffed in a cigar tube and the cops never opened it. They took everything else outta the drawn (empty seed packs, microscope, trimmers etc) but they missed the seeds so I had a freinds smuggle em back up to ny for me.

here is some nonlegal advice, check yourself into a voluntary rehab clinic (do some research you can probably get your employer to pay for treatment and not get fired), enroll in a trade school or local community college (shows attempt at changing lifestyle and other means of future income), this last tip may be obvious but many fail to realize how important it is, stay sober (as best you can) until everything is over (you are now subject to spot drug tests for quite some time). Remember all the courts really want is money offer to pay full fines and minimize there costs of trial and you may get what you really want which is no jail time and a reduced record. It goes without saying but snitching never makes anything better your roomy will figure this out sooner or later Karma is mutha... Good Luck Stay Strong

I was enrolled in a trade school but because of this i was kicked out. I know how to deal with court suit and all. I don't even care about jail time that is by far the least of my worries, its the felony record. college and most trade schools don't accept convicted felons.

Maintain your innocence til they offer you a deal that iincludes community service and misdemeanors with probation. Sorry to say, but I doubt you will be able to get away with less. Your buddy's little operation is what screwed you. You staying under 10 plants is your saving grace. Thank your buddies whoh kept you from opening that can of whuoopass on your roommie

I grew up on the east, all over New England. I got a OUI (operating under the influence/ in Maine snow machines and such are considered vehicles) Maine when I was 18. Technically, that's a felony. No doubt it sucked, but I learned a valuable life lesson, genuinely, but that's besides the point.

Being a felon didn't ruin my life. I went to school, got government loans and even scholarships. I may have even forgot to put it on a job application or two. Don't stress the brand of 'felon'. Just get your self out of trouble and move out of PA.

It's your first offense, you definitely won't do time, but I would follow many of the suggestions made above and try to get out as clean as possible.

hawaiianPunch - Your prints are already on file if have ever been arrested and booked. They will be on file forever. Fingerprinting for government jobs is not uncommon(may even be mandatory with the patriot act and all). Also i don't find it unusual for them to ask for more details about your past record considering you are on probation as it is. Maybe you should consider a job with a paycheck that doesn't come from any government agency.

Once off probation, if you are on it, you should move to a weed friendly state and get a license (prescription, recommendation). My friend moved to a new state, found doctor that prescribed him pot, and ended up getting a pretty good job so he is now working and legally growing weed. Things can work out, my advice is to get through this bust as fast as possible if you don't have to do any time, and move on, things will work out.
