Get GH FloraNova and follow the Lucas Formula link in my sig.

Everything you need to know about feeding your girls successfully is in that link. There's more information to learn, of course, but this will give you awesome results while you learn that other stuff.
just so happens floranova is the 1 i got along with floralicious and floragrow and bloom booster 0-50-30
by the way my room is 9x5 with a9 ft. celing 2x 600 wtt hps i plan on adding another 400 . in the middle of the 2 i use a squirll trap fan for exhaust and 2 house fans for cirulation i manage the temps till summer when ill add a small a/c . the plants were a awesome gift hes been trying to get me to go hydro for a year. im saying the c plus were 15 inches tall and about 28 inches around . bushs more than plants and the godbud is a squat thick indica beast . im a skilled grower and will monitor temps and ph ppm's twice daily and add ph up or down accordingly a couple drops at a time. till it gets there. and or phed water if need be

In the meantime, you've failed to show where I was wrong. Where's the shady? Where's the expense? One friend does a favor for another and they respond in kind. It's called friendship. No one's surprised it goes over your head.:yeahthats

Stick with just the FNB for the first grow. I know you're going to use them because you bought them and probably think you need them. I've got to at least try to steer you away from them.

Once you know how your gals do with just FNB, then you'll actually be able to use the additives and have some idea of what they're doing. (Keep in mind that you're still new to hydro)

mad sketch about pics, but they are looking nice ass fuck, no ph pen or tds meter, will post pics when done.

If the flavor is lacking in hydro, you may want to add some organic ferts like budswell guano or original pure blend, or some pura-vida, bio biz top booster or even a kelp based add like nitrozyme, bcuzz bloom, before your final flush. Flushing in DWC can be difficult as the flush water recirculates back into the bucket. I don't recommend you use harsh clearing agents but a nice slow 2-3 week flush until the plant metabolizes ALL of it's stored food in the foliage and the fans yellow up and die, falling off the plant. I did the dirt thang in my early teens, but I was bored and tried hydro and never went back. DWC is a great intro to hydro, and it sounds like you have a pretty good grasp on growing. The only thing I miss about dirt and organics is the ease of watering and the time to diagnose and fix your issues, as soil is very forgiving. I hated mixing soil and the bugs sometimes associated with dirt. Cleanliness is next to godliness. Hydro can really rock if you take the neccasary precautions and keep your water cool, out of light and heavily oxidized. Good growing!

hydro is pretty simple once u get the hang of it.
E&F isd best for beginners, oversize your res and you should have an easy go.
nothing beats DWC growth tho, cept aero

As to your question about water level.... I try to maintain about 1 to 2 inches below the basket.

RO is reverse osmosis, fancy way of saying filtered water. If you have hard water, it is best to use RO or you run the risk of pH problems.

The Lucas thread you were referred to does tell you how much nutrient to add, really reading that thread a couple of times (yea, it will take a while), is an excellent way to get a grasp on basic hydro, problems you will run in to, etc...

Also, everything Cocktail Frank said in the message above is true!

Good luck, dude!

*Edit - 8mL/gallon on the floranova grow if your babies are already under HPS lights, and I concur with the advise to stay away from the additives on your first grow. Reread the Lucas thread, it will get into things like how to keep your res topped up (you don't just keep dumping in full strength nutes). Also, invest in a pH pen (or test kit) and a ppm meter.

RO is water that has run through a reverse osmosis filter, if your tap water is over a few hundred ppm, it's a good idea to use RO water (but certainly not 100% necessary)

mabey its true but I dont even understand what hes talking about. I thought it was clear im running dwc.

He discusses DWC as well (though Lucas is a strong propenent of ebb & flow).

Anything you don't understand, just ask away in this thread. I have it bookmarked, and would be happy to answer any questions you have.

awesome my plan is to avoid any major mistakes. so ill be asking

If you want to avoid mistakes, you will need to make sure you are able to read your water conditions. So, you need:

-ppm meter
-pH meter
-aquarium thermometer

People grow all the time successfully without these things, but if you really want to fully understand what is happening in your reservoir, those measuring devices are important. Knowing the conditions will prevent you from making mistakes, and help you to troubleshoot problems when they do occur.
