this may be tougher than you think! some of that southern cooking does sound delish right now. anyone agree?

matzo balls can be soggy, but if you're dying of an illness they are very comforting.

some places do
but i like:
italian bread, has a good crumb, not a lot of holes in the bread, good for holding the meat of the sandwich.
eye of round, shaved
provolone cheese
mushrooms
fried/sauteed onions, green peppers, banana peppers

and that's how i like it. some people do mayo, marinara, and i know a lot of my relatives in philly like it the way i do but sometimes with ketchup.

some places just don't make em right. I went to a pizzeria that made mine with tomato and lettuce, with unmelted shredded taco cheese on it.

Chicken fried steak with thick white gravy
pinto beans and cornbread

Fried okra
Banana pudding[homemade] or peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream on top.
cause if I am dying I don't have to worry about fats or cholestrol.....

sounds like you went to buffalo for that philly. in buff the philly tastes like taco seasoning or chili powder. tasty as hell, but not the real philly
