meh..burn schmern..looks like a fine smoker to me there uncle access! man she is gonna be hairy huh?
I was wondering, do you keep a journal while dialing in a strain, and for reference later on?

Yeah, this thing is getting hairier than a French broad's armpits...
I keep a journal on the computer in Microsoft Outlook. I put all the details in there including when I change the reservoirs, how much nutrients I use...spraying regimens...etc. All the info. gets put in there for future reference. Of course I hardly look back at it....most of it is in my head. I like to grow like old ginzos like to cook....a bit of this....a bit of that.....a pinch of this....a pinch of that.....
They "approximate" and taste, and smell and watch carefully. It's a labor of love. As a chef you can certainly appreciate that. Sometimes it comes out right, other times it requires a bit of work. All in all, I have fun...and I get to smoke/vape my work!
Loving the Lavender so far. That one's sister is alot smaller but so much more crystally...
I should have vegged her up more....but I did that this time around....the next "wave" of plants that just got flipped has the "other" lavender that I'm not going to really have much of a taste of this time....the other one was so small that I doubt I'll get even a 1/4 off her dry. I just had to get a taste in early, and I couldn't wait to veg it out.
This other one that I took some shots of is obviously a monster.....
I'm still having troubles getting my "big bud" to veg properly....strangely enough it's moving sooooooooo slowly. Hardly what I'd think a "big bud" should be doing.
I grew it out years ago and was lucky enough to find the head-kicking large producer....
Too bad I scrapped it when I moved. Oh well, more room for Karma's gear and of course what O and TOH so kindly gifted me.

I think I put up a picture or two of the Lavender earlier in development...but yeah this is the first super-ultra-hyper-update of the Lav...
Liking it alot already...hoping that the smaller one was just dwarfed because I didn't take enough time to veggit out...
Cuz it's much more sparkly and colorful. Just would be a total waste to keep some strain that didn't pump out the sauce in volume...
Keep your fingers crossed...would love to keep some Soma Gear in rotation. Plus I wouldn't mind the F.A.M. embracing it either...seems like none of us have any of Soma's gear with this exception.
Prolly crack the SoGouda also when I have room. Heard good things about that strain.

She gets even more lovely when she's nearing chop time. The Lav really does take on a pretty lavender color.

When I stayed out in California a couple years ago, as soon as I arrived I had a shed FULL of Lavender waiting to be trimmed by me. I was SURROUNDED. I literally had to trim my way out of the shed. Those were perhaps the WORST trimming conditions I've endured...true sweatshop - i sat in a metal folding chair, my table was a piece of wood on top of milkcrates, i had ONE incandescent lightbulb, it was HOT, and I had no tunes. I DID have however, all the Lavender to smoke that I wanted.

Actually, it wasn't a complaint at all. If you re-read my original post, I rattled off several complaints, then followed up with the one saving grace about the situation, which was being able to smoke all that Lav.

You were about 1 impulse away from getting some collegiate pranks getting pulled on you...but everyone was apparently extremely fearful to do anything. Don't know what kind of intimidating vibe you throw off when you're fully awake and talking, but it must have scared the locals buddy boy....LOL. Let sleeping bosses lie....ROFL.
