Stablize temps by running lights at night?

I am thinking how I can even out the temps of my grow space 2.5' x 3.5' x 9'
It's about 60º right now at 2am in my room.. Summer is looking at days between 70-80 and nights 60-70.

I've heard 78º during the day and 73º at night is pretty ideal.. so to better hit that target I was thinking of running the lights during the night..

Does anyone have experience doing this?

I always run my lights at night. If I lived where it was cold I would probly just have a heater in my room.

It seems more people would have to add heat as it's cooler 78 day and 73 night most places.. but i guess MJ's pretty tolerant..

Some places also charge more during "peak" hours so its cheaper to run them at night...

My room would be too hot in the next couple months to run the lights during the day. I normally find the coolest continuous 12hrs and set my lights up so they run during that time.

Doing this is huge... these plants wouldn't produce very well at all if I were to run the lights during the day. Thinking I would end up with heat damage + fluffy buds + overall low yield and quality.

This is also what Ive done and it helped me stabilize my temps when things were getting too hot. Good decision don't sweat it.

i'm right on board with the rest....my lights come on @ 10pm and run until 10am....gives me some time to check on things before going to bed, or in the morn depending on my schedule. i live in the warm climate, and have a grow room located in a warm section of the house...and this really, really helps keep temps in line

if i may -- think strongly about a small investment of "green lights" so you can work on your grow during lights out, and have no issues...

I ONLY run lights @ night


Im too lazy by the time the lights come on @ night, but Im nice n fresh to garden or take care of things first thing in the morning!

For me, during the winter its coldest at night, and the lights on will warm my room to 80 no problem.
During the summer the night is the coolest time to run my lights. takes less to cool the room.
