how did you get on with those old seeds you started last year? (seeds from the 90's i think), did you find any gems in the mix?

Yeah HazeSeeker she does taste of 'dry' Sugapuffs but with a kinda Indian hash meaty flavour takin over on exhale. It smells lots like SugarPuffs when growing but even more when u break a cured bud....and the smell translates well into hash if u rub the trim...Theres a weird kinda PlayDough smell in there as well though which stops it being a really sweet smoke and more musky sweet...Hard to describe sorry......Gonna put the original 'Puffz'(slightly more Indica in effect,best med's and Sleep-aid I know hands down!) or the 'S.P.75'(Sativa giggly high before Mellow Bomb drops) into The CUP(haven't decided which yet)so anyone judging will find out then. Will try to have some with me in Dam 4 peeps to try but depends how I travel...
As for my 90's pot lucks I have whittled down to 7 great keeper girls and 3 boys and I also about 40 seedlings at 4 inches high now of various other oldskool strains and crosses...
I will endeavour to get good shots of all new stock together as a photo thread over next few months,then I am entering an intense pollination and progeny testing phase for the rest of the year. I have a core group of strains to stabliise that are still only half where I want them in terms of deffo finding a good male and female phenotype in any 15 seeds that fairly represents the strain I intended.
I want The Puffz,PPSkaze,LondonPink, Capirihauna,Transkage,Gold Tooth,HazelNut,Grime and UrbanPoizon all as stable as they can be over next 2 yrs. Plus an AfricanSuperSat thats kinda an ongoing longterm project finished. Then a Jamaican/CambodianBonsaiSat that me and a friend are both slowly working differently selected but similar lines of,so we can(eventually)make an f1 of the two,with some return of vigour at the end of all our merciless inbreeding for plants of diminished stature...well thats the plans anyway,I intend to put my strains out there bcos I'm very proud of my work,but gonna stick to my guns and do it my way which is deffo via the backdoor,ya get me blud!

RePSkaze I have a plantlet with seeds growing from pollen of the only available male(slightly intersex) and another dusted with fem pollen from a distressed PPSkaze girl(just in case progeny from male are crap).So I have hope for future PPSkz babies
LondonPink Is clone-only so cant repro but I have 4 seedlings of the same WW that's in the cross originally so i could use a male of that if I have one...otherwise I will just give cuts away like I did for years with her extinct parent's.
Capirihauna is Grime x ?Sativa and is very Limey,syrupy with a proper high party buzz.I have a dad cut that is either same or close cousin so will get round to crossing them properly if he is a goer and also x him back to my Grime lady.
My long term plan with TranSkAGE is to go back to Trankei in SA and re-aquiure the Transkei lime greens from the same family if I can and do a big selection as it was a superb Sativa for those who like racy,buzzy high's and sour flavaz. I wanna backcross the TS to its ancestral father TLG.
Hazelnut is Psychosis x ?Haze cross(pics asap) and is a shared project.Its blooming amazing and if it can be stable would be close to perfect sweet,hazey ganja IMHO.
Grime is a clone only female that is half ? and half Stan(Oldskool Affy that stank like Floor cleaner with Phat Greasy budz,sadly lost).
I cant inbreed her but think she will be useful in a few outcrrosses if she takes after Stan at all.
UrbanPoizon is a quick,slim but heavy flowered Durban Hybrid that is a shared AngloAfrican project with an old Zulu buddy(near Drakensberg) and another lady from my crew. The DurbanPoison we use is from diff genetics to all the DP in Holland as that all came via SamS anyhoo and our selection is quite different in scent and high.The best buzz I EVER had was from Real Durban in early 90's so this is a real Gut project for me...Real Poizon is as special to me as is Real Haze to most peep's...

Yeah they are all 'sprouted' seedlings bar the Eritrean and Bazmati now.will be sex testing cuts of them in a li'l while to look for males. JBo

Well one genuine issue which bothers me is the possibility of transferring diseases or pests from one country to another - such as Colorado Beetles in days gone by. By definition, they're distributions of living plant material evading border and quarantine controls, and so there is a realistic chance of big trouble from a clone post - not just for the recipient but the country they live in.

Seeds are much less likely to harbour any diseases, and obviously have less legal implications in most countries, certainly here.

Yeah man it's a straight-up struggle now,, doing what we gotta do,, just to keep these lines from falling to mites...!!

Hey UK peeps,hope u r all cool? I just returned from Dam,but had to leave the cup a few hrs before the results were announced so can't tell you the results yet,but I do know that Karma won the breeder Sativa 1st prize and got 3rd for breeder Indica as well.but hes the only person I got any news from since I got back and he only knew his scores. gonna keep trying to find out but no ophones being answered as they are all too blasted by now...lol.
I had a wicked time anyway and will tell you guys about the smokes when I am less knackered. L
