NYCD x AK47 aka Russian diesel question

Has anyone started the Russian Diesel freebies that they got with thier order. If so what is your take on this strain? What method did you use to grow it (ie dirt, coco, or hydro)?
Just a general run down of how good or bad this hybrid is, for growing, and or for smoking.

I wouldn't bet on it, but I'm pretty sure the NYCDxAK47 was only recently introduced into the freebie rotation. Don't think you're gonna find anyone who has grown 'em as freebies, at best you might find someone who did a test grow for the breeder.

If anyone has grown this strain as a test grow for the breeder Croniholic or for that matter if Croniholic could give some info on this strain would be good as well.

i have two vegging right now that are about a foot high....beautiful plant and very vigorous.... taking a clone of each and then flowering....

Buddy of mine has the exact same thing. bout a foot tall now, in soil, done with teas. He has 2 confirmed girls and 2 confirmed boys so far.

Just an update, my bud ended up keeping 1 russian diesel, he wasnt impressed with it in veg as it was a bit lanky.. It's now almost 9 weeks in and he's glad as hell he kept it around because the buds turned out to be super frosty and delicious looking.. He was totally surprised.. Out of the 25-30 seed females of 10 different strains he popped to try and find some new mommas, he decided to keep it as a 5th mom when he only wanted to keep 4 around.. Fwiw the other keepers were SWT #3, SDxNL(another freebie, had 3 moms and 1 was just absolutely outsanding, Hashberry(holy frost) and a nice Donk pheno.
PPP, Skunk #1, Double Kush, a LUIxF13(he'd ran many before as it was), and the Mazar freebies didn't make the cut. Some simply because they were taking too long to flower, not because they sucked.

Anyway, bottom line is the Russian Ds seem to have some serious potential for anyone considering trying them out.

I have one Russian Diesel female in flowering right now and she is already showing great potential. Indica/Sativa (~40%/60%) in appearance and very frosty nugs with a striking Sour Diesel/Sweet Grapefruit scent. One of the nicest indica/sativa plants that I have seen so far. Croniholic said that he crossed his stinkiest AK-47 male to his NYCD grapefruit pheno mom so the lineage is therefore AK-47 x NYCD not the other way around. A strong and healthy plant, definitely a keeper. I'm going to cross it to my sticky & stinky Lemon Skunk#1 male as soon as my current seed project is finished.

How well does it clone? Is it a fast rooter or one of those slow responders that finishes fast?

I have two RD's a little over two weeks into flowering. Thay are looking good. I am looking for any info on this strain. Both of my girls are about 30 in right now. Anyone out there with any info I would apperciate it. Thanks

I can tell you the Russian Diesel's are gonna be covered in frost/resin and they kinda streched a bit in early flowering. I'm not 100% sure about the exact flowering time.....but from what I see around day 50 of flowering is still all white hairs....no red yet.....but the buds swelled up around day 44 and did I mention that these ladys are covered in resin.. I like to harvest when half the hairs are red and half white.....and on these Russian Diesel Freebies I'd say around 65 to 75 depending on what you like......I'm sure you could harvest earlier if you like to harvest when the trichomes are just cloudy white......but I noticed major resin trichome production of these around 20 days of flowering......even the large fan leaves have resin half way to the tips.....When I get some pics of these I'll post them.....from what I see were all gonna be happy and have some sticky fingers.....I didn't take any clones....but I got 1 seed let hopefully a momma for some clones next time.
