Problem with switchable ballast?

Recently I bought a used 1000 watt switchable ballast off ebay for a real cheap price. I got the ballast and all the stickers were peeled off ( missing). My question is how can I tell which is mh or hps, on the switch. I dont know if switch up is mh or hps. How can i tell? anybody any good advice?

Wow, nobody has any advice for me. Im just afraid of turning it on when the switch is the wrong position and frying the ballast.

That was a very quick thinking Lola :)

I was just going to suggest opening it up. Check which way the switches are wired and figure out which side of the switch runs juice through the capacitor.
(Had to do that with mine and it HAS stickers. The switch had come loose and spun around in the hole. Had to figure it out. LOL)

Thanks for all the replies from everyone. It turns out that the up position is mh on mine also. I wonder if thats like a standard for switchable ballasts? Anyhow im glad I got that figured out. Thanks
