Hi all sorry to have to ask such a noob question but I am unemployed and need to find a fan with at least 250 cfm and need it to be as cheap as possible. I will be hooking it to a diy carbon scrubber, I had bought a duct fan but as soon as I hooked up the carbon scrubber i lost just about all of my air flow

I have been trying to find some old furnace parts to try and make one but what I found would not fit in to my cabinet. Any links to sites with cheap fans would be great I have been trying to find a site that is giving them away but no such luck.

I checked that out and it is a great idea but it won't fit in my cabinet. my cabinet is 1.5' deep 3' wide and 3' tall.

Hmm. If that doesn't work it looks like you will probably need to find a budget fan. Check out htggarden as they have an econo line. Just expect otto be even louder than a can fan or vortex

Get a TJERNLUND... You will have tpo spend at least 125 to get quality and power(CFM) I got the 6" delivered to a friends house for $136.00(500 CFM).. The 4" is only 100 plus shipping and they are as good a a vortex.. they look the same and mine works beautiful................ Go to goggle type that name(or vortex, that's how i found the company) in or just www.tjernlund.com... You have to go to the distributor site or something.. At first if you don't navagate good you'll have a hard time finding it... The model is the m-6/m-4.. depending on the size, but it's a m-series... It's good stuff trust me................. I'm unemployed also, but I seemed to be able to dish out $600. beans for my box.....

$100 - HTG. I just picked up a 265cfm squirrel cage fan. It's not the quietest fan, but it works and it's moderately priced. Plus, it already has a flange on it for attaching your ducting and/or scrubber.
