i just ordered a brick or two from my local hydro shop,(1) how good are the bricks compared to regular coco thats already fluffed up?? (2)Is it going to be just as good for starting seeds and growing all the way through? (3)Also i was thinking about using this coco for micro grows in 16oz cups, will this medium be alright? thanks

good and yes to all your questions...

make sure you flush the coco really well before you use it.

also once i have flush it, do i put the holes in teh bottom of the cups or up on the sides, and how many. Thanks coco is very appealing to me so i appreciate ur help!

put holes in bottom of cup, no need for sides. I'd run about 4-5x the container size of water through ( IE: 16 oz container, I'd run about 80oz water). As far as how many holes, I've always done 5x total: 1x in center, and 4 equally spaced apart and towards edges of bottom.

Make sure your tap is decent or you could make your coco worse.I flush with distilled PH downed to 5.8 untill my runoff is the same. It feels good knowing the PH of my medium is the same perfect figure as my water/nute solution.

I hydrate mine till the coco is completely moist with RO water, no flushing involved. Maybe i'm just lucky but i've yet to completely try to flush my bricks and my plants havn't seemed to mind
