chuckyoufarley - yo man, that King Ralph thread is amazing and I can't wait to power up and get my root thang goin. I gotta sort how to splice 6 cfl outlets and run that to power. Just way too many power cords in a setup like this one, i'm a gotta try to streamline.

Thas the process i guess bru'

This cloner is why I went there too chuck man, I too sux at cloning and friggin hate the constant need to baby em, so'z anything that makes that process better is worth the effort *wink*

Here's how hot my cab got in my 33c garage....:yoinks:

My Old Lady Busted me when i was a teenager growing in my Wardrope with a 18W flouro. Now that i am an Electrician by trade well my friends want me to come around and wire up their rooms for them. Then one day i got blitzed with my own mum never forget it.

What are the yields on these?

I am looking into building a 600 watt cab and am still playing on sizes and if I should just setup a room instead.

Hi Herbatonist, medmaker420 and D Rock. Glad you could make it.

Hey guys, I'll do an update soon, with final weights from the ultra sonja harvest from the 1st cab run.

It went well. The ultras were great for SOG, the cannocopias mighta been too but I vegged em too long and we're too tall for this cab, anyways we'll grab a keeper out of them and work the clone height easy enough, just gotta find one worth keeping =p

Rule of thumb for light

Rule of thumb for light

whats too much light? at what point does the higher wattages stop producing more bud? i know more light usually means more medicine.

In general 10,000 lumens per sq/foot is considered the MAX usable light under optimum conditions. It is suggested that 7,500 lumen/sq ft is the highest usable light without enhanced CO2. Many growers use about 5000 lumen with excellent results. It's not generally recommended to drop below 3000 lumen/sq ft, but some do it.

So, divide the lumen output on your bulb with the square footage of your room (length x width) to find what you're working with.

Example: You have a 4ft x 2 ft room and your 600 watt HPS is producing 90,000 initial lumens. (first one i found on google. your milage may vary.) 4*2 = 8 sq ft.

90,000/8 = 11,250 lumen per sq ft at 1 ft from lamp.

But if you moved your lamp up a few inches, your light penetration would drop fractionally and you'd be near optimal. If you notice bleaching, move the lights up higher. Or do this math before you buy the bulb. :)

Don't forget to ventilate.
