small but sad update on my cloner. bought the cap controller for it as those following the thread know and went 0/40 clones. first two runs i had at least 60-70% success rate. I attribute this to water temps. the cloner sat on the concrete floor this time and I think this variance hurt me. Also the pump never ran long enough to heat the water up. I had it on 15 on 15 off. i did clean it out between runs and just need to do some more experimenting with it. may go back to old timer and just be out the money for the cap or use it somewhere else. I need to really figure this out though because I was banking on those 40 clones. hurts now but will only lose 1-3 out of my 11 females unless a reveg works after flower. wish me luck for a reveg folks. peace and always smoke

water temps are KEY... coldness does no good... ive had good rates keeping my water at 69-73 degrees....

maybe try and put bricks underneath the rubbermaid to keep it off the cement? and a aquarium heater would be good also if you stuck it in there... just make sure you buy the heater that isnt made of glass...

If the floor is cold, get a clone heat mat and set it to 74. I use to run ez cloners and pythium was to be expected, but h2o2 kills it off quickn easy if when clones are popping in 36 hours to 7 days. I kept mine running 24/7 and rarely lost more than 3-4 cuts when I kept the machine clean, and unplugged the sprayers every week. This 256 site I'm building is going to use an external TNC pump to keep 20 gallons cool. I'm getting really sick of waiting for the rooters take foot in my dry climate and losing 5-10%...

Yo PD nice setup. Do you glue the white pipe?

can you run without glue or will it blow the pipe apart?
thanks.

ive never used glue. and I have never had a problem... if you have a large pump then glue might be appropriate...

I'm with LilWaynE on this one. No glue. Doesn't matter if they leak, cause they would just drip back down into the bath. Just pressure fit them together. I had one loose connection so I put a bit of teflon tape around the end of the pipe before I pushed them together and it made them nice and snug.

Are aero cloners supposed to be 100% humidity inside the cloner? Checked mine only between 55-65% humidity. How can I raise this if it's a problem

I wouldn't say that 100% humidity is a good thing, and that 65% is ideal. If you were at 100%, it would be like your cuts were submerged in water w/o aeration/oxygenation. It's the humid watery air we want.

i used a 1" rockwool block to hold the cutting i use a wooded skewer to make the hole right though the block and gentely pushed the cutting though

better than bubble cloner?

better than bubble cloner?

I got a bubble cloner going and wonder if these
aero cloners are a step up & better.

Can you tell me some advantages of the aero cloner over
a simple bubble cloner?

Thanks.

For anyone having trouble finding a drill bit for the sprayers like I did. I used a 11/64. Thanks for the tutorial its alot better then spending hundreds of dollers.
