It can probably used in a mostly 'organic' grow... I doubt it would do any damage at the rates generally recommended for it. Can't really call it an organic ingredient though, so TECHNICALLY it wouldn't be a completely organic grow. I could be wrong of course.

I don't think superthrive is 100% organic, as their is hormones but I don't think anyone is going to care and your giving your plants some really good stuff that will last a long time.

Hi Trillian, If you are a novice then this product could only help in your over all succsess. Superthrive is a great addative but its not organic. it is actually synthetic hormones IAA, NAA, I think as customs took my bottle when re-entering the country & haven't yet purchased another. I use it from cuttings up until the time I flush. I have run many side by side comparisons, results spoke for them self, it is one addative I wouldn't grow without. It gives you a bigger more vigorous stress & disease resistant plants plus super root development. 1 to 5 drops per liter start with one drop per liter for even rootless clones & build up as required by plants appearance.

I've seen a bottle of Superthrive in many pics in "Organic" articles from the Rev and JefTek also Soma recommends using it in his Organic Gardening book...

wow, i dont know what to think

so many good arguments

i would really like to use it as a nute for my first fertilization coming up, but i may just try and start brewing my own compost tea instead

thanks for the replys guys... keep them coming

so far im leaning more towards using it then not using it, cause if it isnt organic i could always stop using it, and use the compost tea method, and get the bacteria bac up in my soil to a more benifical stand point until the bacteria is once again alive, and getting used by my plants other than the superthrive

If you're looking for a top notch medical grade product, I wouldn't recommend it.

Everything I've read points toward avoiding any 'hormone like' substances and man-made chemicals as being a good thing. Since it's not really natural, I'm not going to use it. It's chock full of natural plant hormones and man made chemicals that act like plant growth hormones.

I won't eat beef that's tainted that way, I'll keep my meds free of it too.

I wouldn't use it, go with the compost teas...like what doodad said I herd not to use it in flowering when i was... And everyone told me it was used to SHOW STRESS or BRING it to the plant... I was wondering why I was getting nanners... Once I stopped and cut the nanners off it stopped. I wouldn't recommend it for organics or anything. I'm going to try some experiments in veg to see if it really does what peps say. Go with the teas they work great, also neptunes seaweed & fish fertilizer( all three of them), and Pure Blend Pro Organic, in One of LC's Mixes and my last grow was amazing... The taste of all my medicine was incredible. Anyone one who smoked it all agreed it was something that you can actually enjoy smoking, no harsh taste or nothing. The seeds I got were from pretty good buds I smoked, I actually got real lucky. But for the question at hand, I really don't think its organic at all......It is hormones, I got a bottle an other then in the future when I got some plants to fuck with and experiment, I don't think I'll be using err at all... Waste of $6.00..........

Thanks for all the helpful info

IM NOT gonna use it in my ORGANIC grow

how ever i did add some to my HYDRO, water ALREADY last night during and after my water change, not much tho, just maybe like a mililiter or so or like a drop, not sure wasnt measured but VERY little, dont think im gonna do that agin either tho.

next water change im gonna go with the fox farm grow big, but as of right now my hydro plants did seem to like the stuff thus far into the addition, but i dont know i may live to regret it but i hope not

i added 1 and 1/2 tbsp of a root stimulator, the ST, and some epsom salt (1 tsp ) so we will see how that goes

thanks for all the help guys, keep the thought coming please!!!

I used to use it, and have had varying results. I really don't think it does much at all honestly. Sometimes it seems to help them with transplant stress, but my methods these days are so low stress that I never have to worry about stress. Molasses has most of the organic components of Superthrive in it. Superthrive can make a flowering plant go hermie because of all the gibberlins in it, and that makes me reluctant to use it even in veg. I don't think I will ever use it again. My results this grow are the best I've ever had, with the healthiest plants I've had, and the least bad leaves. All with no superthrive.

i have to say i was sooo reluctant to use it becuase i try to grow as 100% organically as possible but i had to buy this after some big overwatering trouble. had to say i had amazing results in the first 2 days...amazing recovery....hate that its not really organic but i like 90% organic living plants better than 100% decomposed plant matter!

My problem with SuperThrive is the amount of complete and total 'bovine excrement' that goes along with the marketing drivel, i.e. the label.

It's been banned in several countries because of their unsubstantiated claims. A few states (Oregon for example) have severely limited its sale and distribution.

YMMV
