does costa rica have good weed?

me and my girl are thinking of going there or jamaica but want to know if the weeds good in costa rica. If its just schwag we'll probably end up in jamaica .. if anyone's been to either and has tips on scoring the finest herbs while on vacation..

What part of CR would you be going to? I miss it :-( (no, i'm not costa rican, but i lived there with a friend for a short while)


edith, forgot to say, whatever quality it is, be prepared to pay out the ass unless the aforementioned local is extremely nice, or you're a hot gringa, or... well, you get my drift. we used to pay our nights out by scamming tourists...

Don't expect the good stuff in Jamaica to be easily found. If you're only there for a week or so, probably get something acceptable, nothing that will blow your mind.

Adam/BC are probably the only places I would let bud availability factor into the decision.

I've vacationed throughout the Caribbean and Jamaica was the only island I ever had really great smoke. In Jamaica I shared some of my own with some guys who couldn't believe it was grown indoors.

What do you consider smaller? I've been on Dominica, St Martin, Barbados, St Barts, and a few others. Not saying they were dry, but the weed I brought with me was better except in Jamaica. Maybe I was an obvious tourista, verdad?

Jaco has the most consistent waves out of all the spots .Just go up the road from the main beach.If your able to rent a car .Hit the road and head 4-5 hours north to Tamarindo,Playa Grande gets great barrells and is a mile walk ,and a short paddle accross a stream.Just make sure ya get back before dark ,cause you don't wanna cross the stream near dark,sometimes it has gators..

At Tamarindo ask local Tico's about their secret spot,Its a mile to the left of the main tourist beach.If that fails just go back to Jaco and wait.As a swell usaully comes in every 2-3 days.

The best time to go is in August.Our summer is their winter.In late august ,the waves get as big as houses,all you see is black lines on the horizon,and you paddle like hell to get out far enough not to get K-Boshed by the massive sets.

Unfortunatly Costa Rica has been " Discovered" everybody fuckin goes there now,and all the locals speak english.Think of it as a extension of Southern California.

The other coast of Costa is all Rastafarians and i'd imagine has better smoke.

The place to go surfing now is Panama.Its still in its infancey ,and uncrowded .Feels like a real adventure.....

If u go to Costa ,spend the last few nights in the capital San Jose...There's some great things to see.Namely a place called "Key Largo" a nice bar were the women are "very" friendly........

Never been to Costa Rica, but in Jamaica, hell- even the cops at the airport will try to sell tourists some swag. And at the all-inclusive resorts on the beach, all you need to do is just ask anyone (porter, waiter, cleaning staff, etc) you need some smoke and you'll have it within a half hour or less.

I kept a porter busy for a couple of days fetching me some joints. He would take my order, disappear for a few minutes, then reappear with a fistfull of doobies. I followed him once, and saw that he just scooted around the fence that led all the way down to the beach where the armed security guard kept the locals away from the private beach.

Curious to see what's up, I went around the fence myself, and was astonished to see a veritable "flea market" about a block long on the beach. I was in heaven, and wandered thru a maze of various cardboard "huts" where the Rasta's would hawk there big old brown grocery bags overflowing with herb like a traveling carnie. Hell, ya can even sample some, they don't care, they just want your US dollars (black market). I mean they had everything: incense, papers, clips, hash pipes, Roor vapes, home-made carved bongs, all the paraphernalia you could need, If you don't want to waste time rolling yourself, you can get huge spliffs, hash, etc. Meanwhile the local ladies would ask if I wanted my hair braided (like Bo Derek in the movie "10") or anything else I could imagine (lol). Make sure to ask for the "dankest ganga", not the regs. They will respect you. And be prepared to barter...ya won't regret it!

And I got it a lot cheaper from the vendor than what I wuz paying the porter (gotta love capitalism)...

Down around Quepos saw a bunch of shwag but one tattooed up white dude was smoking on some goods. CR is pretty tight.

CR has some of the dankest weed on the planet - if you find it..... the climate only allows for sativa growth..... but you have to have the in..... if you know peoples you can get elbows of blueberry haze for almost as cheap as elbows of the dank in jamacia (was 200 prob up to 500 us now).

Few amigos took some 5 gal bubble bags down to jamacia..... gettin elbows of thunderfuck in cardboard boxes for 200US.... that was a number of years ago....

you can get anything anywhere.... if your in the know

Joking, IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHO YOU KNOW. I know people in Japan who have good bud, but that doen't mean you'll find it...Make friends with surfers on a surf website, then go from there..

Cripie is Colombian greenhouse weed, Dutch genetics, it is most expensive weed normally available in CR...... iirc $20/g streetprice was mentioned !

West Coast CR is very touristy and developed, East Coast a lot less so, it is down to who you know or meet, there is good weed there, but you have to search it out. Plenty of DEA around and significant Coke problems with a lot of the locals on the coast where it is trafficked, so take care.

Many people say it is one of their favourite places ever to visit, I do not think you wil be wasting your time there, whatever the quality of the weed.
