A few nugs have extremely yellowing of the bud site, but they have been moved away from the light.

They have grown into the light, but aren't showing any signs of heat stress. Bad idea? Is this light bleaching?

Figure it might produce denser nugs.

I've always been told that as long as its cool to the touch, it's okay for the plants to touch. Is it possible for you to tie down your tops a little?

I have the same issue with two 1K lights right now, bloody seedlings did a 3X stretch, too late to move, and too big, so I just keep supercropping the tops and bending them down and away, they keep growing back into the light. We will both lose some bud to bleaching, but most of the buds will be fine.

Yea I can tie some down but not much... it is very overgrown. Its 430 watts by the way. I will try and tie down as much as possible.

w/ 1k, vert, no cool tube, they get as close as they want. if they can withstand 100+ in natural habitats, they can handle 82-85 actual leaf temp (@~3-6" away). only move light/plant over 88*f actual leaf temp. ambient temps 78-88.

^86*f leaf temp may be good indicator of wehn to move plant/light apart further.

hope this helps.

Happens to the best of us every now and then. Whenever I reach an "Oh shit, those are gonna be way to big" moment, I use Bushmaster, at like 2-3 mL/Gal, sometimes a little more. If you use too much it really fucks up your plants, so I use a small amount and then use another small amount later if necessary. It pretty much stops vertical growth. It hurts my yields (only a very small amount, thankfully), and I have to watch extremely carefully for mold because it makes the buds alot more dense, but it's better than having my girls grow into my lights. Also, you can't reuse your medium because Bushmaster won't rinse out entirely, and you will have stunted vertical growth on the next run.
