hello every1 this question is for our experinced respected breeders on the board.

i have a cross of ShoreLine {fm} x Train Wreck {m} i was gifted




taller is a supercropped female shorter started out clearly male in veg but now after just over 1wk in flower its showen female above the 2 male internodes. i know this would make it a true hermi not stress releated

so my question is would the pollen from this herm be good pollen {ie fem pollen} or just a herm factory useless pollen. i've made several crosses myself last yr 27 in all but used stable males

Hey Maj.PotHead , I read an article about breeding and selecting by DJ Short recently where he claimed males that hermi female ( reverse hermis ) can be useful for breeding and seemed to almost guarantee against unwanted hermis in future generations . I believe he also stated that it would make for a higher percentage of females in resulting seeds but not all fem seeds . *edit * from The Art of Selection and Breeding Fine Quality Cannabis by DJ Short *look it up.

I have got some silver Haze with male calyx in the beginning of the blumming process.

I do seeds with the pollen with the silver Haze strain ( sex himself ). a lot of female and no hermie for those babies....Thanks for the info from DJ short. That confirm my mind about hermies

thx for the help every1 but fjällhöga confirmed my thoughts this hermi is trash plain simple 1 thing i dont need to do is pass on hermi traits. about the only thing i seen DJ mention about hermi plants is how the eqatorial sativa strains would herm because of the length of flowering. and how herm traits where all but bred out during the 80's didnt say anything about a true herm being good for breeding. matter of fact he talked about how he culled herm traits from his garden now i can flower my true girl out let her self and i'll get mainly fem seed with a male here n there

you should think about an outcross , just in case the selfed beans are bunk ...

i think they are no good for fem seeds... Normally they stress all the plants first to get all the herms out before the threat the TRUE females with acid to make them herm for the fem seeds....
