8 Plants Outdoor What's Next?

So this year I tried an experiment to see how well plants would do here during the early march period and this year I have had pretty good results. I started out with 13 Manga Rosa outdoor and so far 8 of them have been female which was a big superise. Being that I would like to try a few different strains outdoor this year that these wont be the only one's I grow, but I plan on waiting til' around april 15th when it gets warmer to stick anymore out. I started these 13 in 1 gallon pots to begin with, using FoxFarm soil and 8 have been transfered into 2 gallon pots. I plan on buying a bag of FF per plant and letting them finish off in that. I plan to have probably around 18-20 plants by the end of april. As you can see in each picture there isn't any budding going on right now, I'm pretty sure they started vegging again. As I was walking around looking at each plant I could tell they had been knocked over by the winds and rain, they looked pretty scraggly.

So as of right now I have a total of 13 females outdoor of the 18 I had. I have a few question's if anyone may know this. I have my plants as of now in 2 gallon pots they are averaging 2ft+ right now and I'm wanting to use a bag of FFOF per plant and I think thats about 10 gallon? Well anyone know what height plants I may be looking at with just one bag? I'm looking to try and get atleast one or two 8ft plants so I'm thinking 2 bags per plant for that?

Here is what I experienced with last year..

So I have done a lot of work over the past week to get everything set and ready to hopefully take off. I took a nice drive and walk tonight to water having nice sun shine for the next week want them to be fed and ready. So I took some picture updates, it has been pretty windy the whole week so everything keeps getting blown over and I have to re-stand it all up the past few time's I have been. I couldn't get to many pictures of my second plot it's where I keep my four biggest plants. My first plot is an average height plot all using 5-10 gallons of soil the larger plot using almost 14-15 gallons of soil per plant.

Well updates in probably a few weeks when I go back could be a month just have to hope for good weather after a hot week coming up.

Well Im back with updates now for anyone who may care to watch as i hopefully have a good summer ahead of me. So as I started them off they were slow getting up and going, but since we have had great weather these past few weeks they really took off. As I neared my area it was a smell of "damn where's the skunk?" It had a real potent skunk smell to it gave me a little bit of chill's, of course from happiness. A few weeks before this they were making their way to about an average of 2.5ft I would say the average height this time back is anywhere from 4ft-4 1/2ft. They looked very healthy since the transplant and almost all damage done to them had grown back. Since I was so damn excited and pleased with what I have I missed a few pictures I should have taken. I have 4 of them seperated from the others, because they were the biggest at transplant and their stem at the bottom is about the size of a quarter(coin). This is only my 2nd attempt outdoor and I'm still hoping to get another batch out in the middle of june or end of june, but not in the same area. Anyways on for pictures and sorry I'm not the best at taking pictures so bare with me and at the same time maybe a few pointers on picture taking or anything else. :joint: later

Might have put them out too early cuz it looks like they are flowering already, if your anywhere near the 40th they are going to go back to veg in a week or two and then flower again in late july /august.

Thanks guys pull up them chairs there is plenty of room here :)

jonkanoo- a vape pretty much instead of smoking the actual pot, it heats up enough to burn the THC straight off the bud itself. It suppose to be a cleaner smoke then actually smoking a joint or pipe. You don't actually smoke the other chemicals in the bud's so it a little healthier, but who cares it all get you high no matter how you smoke it, just a fancier way of smokin it I guess lol....:joint: later bro thanks for stoppin by

I think they have really only been flowering um maybe 25 days. Yes, I know I did stick them out too early got a little anxious its ok though I guess? Yea they should veg anytime now they should go back so we will just have to wait and see.

I had to go check on my plants today to add some fertelizer and do some trimming. I was really superised this time to walk out there, I expected for a little less then what I saw :woohoo: Now hopefully I can get back out there in another 2 weeks-a month, since they have gone back into re-vegging.

Just a few pictures for now had some stoner technical problems with camera.(forgot to charge battery):joint:

Now why do you wanna rush the action of doing that? I haven't really quite figured how I'm going to get it all back, because I really don't know how much I'm going to get per plant. So I'm still planning things as I go along and kind of worried maybe I didn't use enough soil being that they will go until around mid september which is still 5 month's.

I was thinking about the mulch, but I'm going to wait a little longer for it since its not burning hot down here yet. I do have pine needles, branches, leaves, etc. to cover the top and to break down into the soil. As far as topping them goes, this is something I want to do, but I haven't ever done it so I'm a little worried of killing the plant itself. Is that possible? And how much do I cut off the top? They are around 4-4 1/2 ft tall.

You just snip the tip, easy. Alot of your questions can be answered with a visit to an OD sticky or the search function.

Topping them will make 2 big main heads rather than just one. Take the top off 4 inches from the top and clone it under 24 hrs of light. You must have about 15 1/2 hours of light going on those plants because they are really confused. That is ok though I visited a guy who had 24 hours of light on until April 1 and cut them down to 15 hrs of light and the plants were sick looking budding half ass. He has since put them to 17 hours of light and they are revegging from the bottom up. He said it is called inducing and it makes everyone of the little buds that want to develop a whole shoot and becomes a great big bud. His biggest plant last year was 8 pounds.

I always have vegged them under 24 hrs of light topping it at least 4 times to make muliple shoots. Then around April 1 I cut the light back to 20 hrs for 7-10 days then 19 for a week then 18 for a week the 17 for 2 weeks then 16.5 until I put them outside mid May. Either way works I have never tried the "inducing" way but I will next year to expeirment.

Good Luck on your journey man it looks to me like you will have plenty to burn come October/November.

Huh, that's pretty interesting may have to try that I got a few to experience with :).

So today I visited the sight again to top them, take buckets for rain water, and kind of just get it ready to be left alone for atleast a month. I don't really want to leave them for this long and may not get the chance to if it doesn't rain in a week, but there isn't going to be much going on in the next month for me to have to tend to them. I figure leave them out there alone all for May and let the veggitation all around my area re-grow, also so I can get focused on other thing's. I took pictures today don't know if I should really update it here though because it's only been 3 days. I also took a tape measure out there and they were all averaging about 4 1/2ft, but a couple were just few inche's below that 5ft mark. I can say with them already pushing this height and many months to go its making me excited that I just may get some 8ft plants!! I still am worried about the soil though, because their all averaging about 10gallons a hole it still bothers me to know this may not be enough....
