Is anyone running a Commercial / Industrial Dehumidifier? Sealed Room and Humidity...

I would like to know who is running a heavy duty style dehuey?

Running a sealed room with soil/coco beds 5x10 style.

Upon watering the humidity gets a bit out of hand even with dehuey running 24/7. Is a momentary spike in humidity during watering okay, for like an hour? Seems even a little splash of water on the ground will mess with it.

Where are the guys running larger sealed rooms? A/C does something, but not nearly enough in late flower. Do people just run like 4 "household" dehumidifiers all the time? that sucks...

I run an 8 by 8 sealed room with a 45 pint dehumidifier and it works pretty well.Thats a large sealed room if you're a very small midget.

Sante Fe seems to be the big boy DH. I am currently trying to decide on which one I need.

Is the room 5x10 or is each bed 5x10? That would help alot

Each bed is 5x10, some are 6x12. If there was a guideline of some sort to go by that would be perfect.

Yamaha- Is your 9000w sealed? What do you currently get by with for a dehuey?

Almost thinking of going vented after all this, but I dont think carbon by itself will mask the smell.

i'm with you, i was noticing the same type of thing alot of uncontrolable humidity during certain times of the day, i was running a whirlpool 70 pint and it would struggle and put out a lot of heat while running, and that would run the ac more and between them eventually control it, i was looking to go commercial but the thought of spending what's required to own the santa fe was over my budget, i found a good deal on an aprilaire 90pt commercial model, new sells for 1100. e bay reconditioned for 380. & shipping, but get this, it was doing some weird things so i called them to arrange a return and the customer service rep tells me he'll send a brand new one no charge and i can call him after it arrives to arrange the return of the defective one, i just swapped them and the thing works great, 50% no problem, the exhausted air is alot cooler then the old 70pt whirlpool, and that will mean i use less overall electricity. i would check on ebay for he santa fe also, i noticed several options there. it seems like we always can find a new appliance, pump, reflector, nutrient, medium, girlfriend....ok maybe not that, but you know what i mean.. growers goodies..i have a closet full..a commercial dehumidifier is no longer on my list & i'm glad i made the leap :joint:

the room is sealed and I use a LG 65 pint. But since I added CO2, humididty is pretty high. My wall unit A/C never dripped water, now it drips over 6 gallons per day. I use an empty nute container inside a rubbermaid bin so I know its 6+ gallons because it overflows the 6 gallon container. Plus I have a garbage can catching the DH.

I have another spot and am trying to find something that works better. I may just buy the biggest Sant Fe they have and be done with it.

Wow y1 just curious are you growing soil or hydro? Are you sure you AC just isnt taking a shit on you?I just dont have those problems with humidity using a wall AC and a burner/controller for co2.I grow soil though I'm sure a rez creates a lot of moisture

its hydro and theres close to 600 gallons in there, plus 132 square feet of table area.

But honestly, the A/C didnt drip or catch any water until 2 days after I installed the CO2 burner.

The LG 65 pint works well in my 8x15 ft sealed with burner. I haven't maxed out my room with plants yet though.

Y1 if its really a consistent thing that happens turn off your burner for a few hours and see if your AC stops dripping.Thats one way to find out.Wow thats a lot of water man I'm gonna make up a superhero grower name for you..How bout aquaman lol

Is anyone running a sealed room with beds? Curious is you run into issues of humidity, after watering the beds...

jocat- how big is your space, and how is the 90pt model working out?
