Just got these in the mail
Here they are...

Purple Kush and Green Crack. It was labeled but in the excitement I got them mixed up.
rootshot1.jpg

Picture is a little over exposed but the roots are brown. Should I pot them now or give them some time to recover?
rootshot2.jpg

Looks white due to the over exposure but roots are shriveled and brown.
wilting.jpg

this one is wilting

Why are the roots brown and shriveled? Lack of oxygen? The rockwool is soaking wet.
In the past whenever I transplant clones that have brown roots, it always end up being stunted or dies.. but I don't know if I should leave these out to recover. Room temp is stable at 75-80F, humidity a little low at 35%. Put a dome on them?

well it seems the mods are censoring my post, kind of defeats the purpose of this thread...

Well at least you, I, and the mod in question will know the true reason for the thread. I'd invite you to keep posting anyways, just watch what you say. I really want to see how these turn out (IE: Authentic or Bogus??) for obvious reasons.

I asked myself the same question and concluded that they must be authentic due to their very limited offerings of 2 strains. If it was a scam, their menu would be more appealing to a wider audience.

Hi there MDT,

How do you plan to grow these babies, ie. what medium? You asked if you should "pot" them now, I would say YES. With the roots being "shriveled and brown" you need to get them re-established asap. Plant them and start them out on 1/4 strength nutes right away. Good luck bro, can't wait to see what these do!

Purple Kush is the one floating around BC, it's not the SR-71 cut but I hear it's a great smoke.

Looks like the SR71 is a low yielder, I hope the BC Purple Kush does a little better.

Here's an update.
calciumdef.JPG

Looks like the calcium deficiency is progressing, so I upped the Calmax to 2ML per gal, up from 1.5ML. PH 5.8, E.C 1.0

the purplekush does okay indoor.. i harvested early, about seven weeks
i got almost 2 oz per plant, my plants were about two feet tall!!!!:joint::joint::joint:
those bc purplekush looks more on the indica side, my pk was more sativa!!!!!

Here's an update. It's been a while, nothing new to report until now.
Transplanted them about a week ago in to 2.5L pot, also topped them.
Here's what I'm feeding them now.
3ml Optimum Coco A+B per litre
3ml Calmax per gallon
3 drops of Superthrive per gallon
EC 1.6
PH 5.8
Once a day.

19 days in veg

They all look identical, heavy indica influence, I thought GC is more sativa leaning?

0413-02.JPG

No more signs of Calcium DEF, but what's with the purple petioles? I don't think they're underfed, the leaves are darker in color than they appear in the picture, there is some purpling between the veins. I'm thinking it's a PH issue, question is, should I raise or lower it?

0413-03.JPG

Purple on the upper stem and petioles.

0413-04.JPG

More purpling, what's causing it?

UPDATE
I transplanted them into 3GAL pot over the weekend.
Here they are at day 25
042009-01.JPG

I still can't tell which are suppose to be the Green Crack and Purple Kush.

042009-02.JPG

Just started training them to open up the middle.

042009-03.JPG

What's with the three leaves set? Is that from stress?

I'm seriously starting to doubt if the clones I received even are Green Crack. Here is the description of the Green Crack.
Sativa 75%, 25% Indica. Vegetative Growth: very branchy and very fast. Likes to grow and reacts well to fertilizers.

All 4 of the clones I received are slow grower, very short and squat with big broad indica like leaves. They're vegging under 1000W MH. I have M39 vegging beside them, at day 18 the M39 are already the size of the 25 day olds GC+PK.

Love the thread, I started my white widow clones around the first week of April. I'll send some pictures shortly, and give the exact start date. I am using DWC, advanced Nutes "grow" 18/6 cycle. Should be nice to watch yours progress and compare.
