Very cool.. but it doesn't seem to be too much of an advantage to the average micro grower because of horizontal mounting. But, it doesn't mean you shouldn't get creative!

Ups to Sylvania for being innovative.

I used a "Y" screw in to double my lighting power. I used a standard 3 bulb vanity light, added 3 "Y"s and 6 micro mini 23 W bulbs. It's very bright and I have successfully germed 5 out of 12 Masterlow beans of my own production. The Micro-Minis are at Lowe's. These take growing to whole new level.

They run a bit cooler. My temp at pot level is 78 F with all 6 bulbs burning. I have a 4 inch fan right up there pulling the heat out also. Ambient room temp of 70 F. So far my MasterLow's are responding nicely to the soft white bulbs. Looking very healthy.

It's a brand new cab. Just put together last week for my MasterLow and Power Stout efforts. So the temp was room temp! I just checked and it was 74 F in there now. Heat is a non issue with these powerful bulbs. They say they are 30% smaller than the traditional CFL but issue 1600 lumens and 100W equivilency. My MasterLow seedlings are showing remarkable progress everyday under 18/6 light regimine. Also if Wally World is out of them Lowe's stocks them.
