really red hairs

how do you grow ganja with red hairs? i always see weed with orange hairs, but every now and then i see that ganja with extremely red hairs. i got some white widow from pcc on telegraph once and it was all white with crystals, bud was green, and the hairs were red as fuck. it looked sooo tight. also in the good bud guide by albie there are a few good examples of red hairs such as mazar. is there something you need to do to get this look?

all hairs will turn red if you let the plant grow longer.
but redder than normal may be genetic to certain strains.

Genetics, some have really bright and prominent red hairs. I smoked an unidentified red hair strain when I was 16 that made me think I was going to have to go the hospital, damn that shit was strong!!!

Some like the "bag appeal" - Alot of peeps know nothing of the ins and outs of the make up of Cannabis. They just see RED ass hairs and think it is "the GOOD SHIT" - the first time me and my friends came into MJ... the HAIRS were advertised to us as a big deal!

reminds me of when i was a teen buying weed. we used to get marketed weed based on smell, red hairs, and moistness of the bag. they would be like "i got that kill" look at these red hairs, feel how moist it is. "finger fuck the bag, smell it" its that dank.

luckily i got smarter and realized none of that mattered much. best you could do short of smoking it is chew a bit on your teeth and see how resinous it was.

i guess it really doesn't matter what it looks like, but it is nice to have some great looking weed as well as great tasting and great smelling and high potency. what's wrong with wanting have to crazy looking weed? i just like the way that red haired weed looks. i'm not saying it's any more potent than orange haired weed, cause i've had a lot of fucking dank ass weed with orange hairs, which most of what i get is...but occasionaly i have found some weed that has those really red hairs that just look really cool. and what's wrong with wanting to have some weed with red hairs? it's just a little different than what i normally get so it's cool to have something that looks a little different. but anyways, i'd like to know how to grow herb with that red hair look....and i guess from what some people have said is that you just let it go for longer.

and why shouldn't bag appeal matter? i've had some dank ass og kush, chemdawg, pure kush, sour queen, white widow, purple erkle, la confidential, northern lights etc.......they all looked dank, smelled dank, tasted dank, smoked dank. not all of them were red haired but they still had a shit ton of bag appeal. i love bag appeal. it's not as important as smell, taste, and potency...but why not have great looking weed too? in cali, you can get that all of that...you must not care about bag appeal cause you're not smoking that dank ass looking and really fucking dank (as in look, taste, smell, and potency) california bud.

i really feel like it's the difference between purple and green bud...red or orange hairs...it doesn't really matter, i know. the color of the hair doesn't mean it's more or less dank than any other herb, just like the color of the bud doesn't matter whether purple or green. but what can i do to get that red haired look?

i have a few plants at the moment that have pink/red pistils, looks real awesome but i dont plan on selling. although they would definately be a buying point to noob smokers. just like many of you have said they add bag appeal, but definately doesnt mean that smoke is gona be amazing.

i like smelling dank ass weed, and i like smoking dank ass weed. bag appeal is good, dont get me wrong. just saying its usually just marketing. bag appeal != greatness.

you can let it go till all or most of the pistils have shriveled and curled up. i like that look too, actually i like it better than when i dry a bud and the pistils are all straight and laid over the top. but most of it is the genes. i got some shit that has really red hairs when its dry and its some knockout shit with a great smell. but i had another plant that had bright orange pistils which i thought looked way better. but the potency wasnt where i wanted it. plus it tasted like black pepper when you smoked it. no joke. it was like eating spicy food.

I can gather all the red hairs while manicuring buds , smoke it , and barely feel a buzz at times . I believe when we were all 16 we used to judge it by that , but we grow n learn .
Lots of times when one doesn't let the bud finish all its weeks , the bud would tend to have lots of hairs .
