Yes, i know you'd probably check your voicemail, ok, but comeon, i just had to take the free set up!

sorry. i forgot to mention i have an ipod touch... all the cool stuff of theiphone but no actual phone. if you had an iphone you could put your home number or the number of someone else, that way you at least have a chance of getting it back.

ill start with this one its call "iffound" take any picture, and superimpose it with your contact info and a note, then set it to wall paper and pin lock your phone. (Or Ipod touch) that way anyone who finds it cant use it.. but has a chance to return it to you. like a good person. mine has my cell number and a note that says "reward". i never said what kind of reward... but.........

I like the idea of this app but I use my phone ENTIRELY too often to be bothered by a pin lock. Anybody know how to activate caps lock on these things?

i've been racking my brain all night thinking what the hell is pink lock?!??!?! then i realized...

IT'S A Personal Identification Number. I think i should quit smoking for a lil while... or maybe get more sleep... Yeah, i'll go with the latter...

u dont have to pinlock your phone to use that program, but dont expect to get your phone back if whoever finds it can use it.

digidrummer is a great program. its like 99 cents... fun to screw around with.. works well and has a bunch of diffrent drum kits. alos there is one called ihandy level, good if your building something small or hanging pictures... uses the accelerometer to measure level surfaces. as far as i can tell its pretty accurate.

You mean you use your iphone as a phone? :D

I feel that's a general trend ever since the first cellphones, once they were fairly simple machines with sturdy antennas sticking out they worked fine, and as they got smaller with the and antennas built in and more and more electronics added, performance dropped. Iphone's no exception.

Only when I have to.

I started out years ago with a "bag phone" about the size of a cinder block and about as portable. Only saving grace for it was the external antenna on top of the truck but then everybody thought I was a narc because I had an extra antenna on my truck.

Anybody have crash bandicoot? Is it worth the $6?

I have Bandicoot and its the one game I do like. Simple easy to control and enough challenge to keep me interested without being really hard to beat. Seems to run well but with an occasional stutter.

My other fave is original Labrynth.

i love my iphone 3g but i don't want to spend the $ on apps that i'm not sure i'll like.

Ever look into Jailbreak? It bypasses all of Apples copy protection and allows you to install apps without the App Store getting involved. It's easy enough to Jailbreak one but a little harder to figure out what to do with it after.

If you are gadget savvy then its no problem but if you need someone to program your digital clocks for you then its definitely something to avoid.
I somehow managed to fill mine up with over a gig of I don't even know what but it was simple enough to restore it to original and start over.

lmao, you bag phonin' mofo.......
I had one of those things too, damn battery in the bottom of that bag was huge and heavy, I had to carry mine in the field & so I made a shoulder strap. I still have that sucker somewhere.

Very true, I might have Sprint fire up my old cell phone again and kill the service to the 'flip phone' I'm carrying now. Reception was FAR superior with the older antenna model I was using until 6 months ago.

someone posted this a while back and im not sure who did,
but i have wanted one of these things since i saw it just for
the fuck of it. if you posted this before feel free to take credit.
but anyway, its a rotary phone that has been rigged to be a cell
phone. i fuckin hate phones, but this is cooler than anything else
out there by far!
PortORotaryBLK-01-L.jpg

here is the description.
The infamous Portable Rotary Phone is an original rotary phone that has been modified to be a cellular phone. The Port-O-Rotary has a functional rotary dial, rings the original, loud metallic bells when a call is received, and even has a dial tone!

Phone comes fully assembled and tested. All you have to do is open the phone, insert your SIM card, and turn the unit on! The unit will utilize your phone number and account minutes. The internal cellular module works within any country that has one of the 900MHz, 1800MHz, or 1900MHz cellular bands (90% of the world). The Port-O-Rotary is truly international with up to 15-digit dialing, auto-frequency selection, '+' characters, and PIN # entry for pre-paid cards.

Each Port-O-Rotary is an original rotary phone that has been specially modified. There may be small scratches and scraps on the exterior, also known as 'character'. The battery can run the phone for 4-5 days (yes days) and is charged by an external jack on the rear of the phone (charger included).

Do you have one? Love it, hate it? I LOVE it! Being able to surf the net wherever I am is awesome! I'm at work right now, at lunch. Thoughts? Time to go to work! ;)

Love/hate for me too, not 3G so internet is very slow. Sometimes too much of a hassle. If the screen has any moisture the touch screen won't work. Battery life is very bad. Probably going to go back to my nokia brick for the week long battery life, and I can actually pull the battery if it freezes. Its got a camera but no MMS? Tethering is also a breach of contract or some shit. The emulators are fun though. Gotta love Final Fantasy on your phone.

I am actually in an iPhone dilemma at the moment...

I need a phone with excellent browser support, both speed and graphically. I work online and need to check up on investments when I am on the go, or when I am in bed (despite my misses hating this).

I was looking over a couple the BB/Storm (Any good?) and maybe the iPhone 3G.

Any help? Should I go iPhone, or maybe better phone out there than the two I have listed?

Can't beat the iPhone in my opinion. 3g is super fast and in my experience battery life is excellent, way better then I initially expected. Typing on it is a breeze, it corrects most of your mistakes automaticlly.
