Dry Weed but not Indoors?

High everyone, I have no problem growing the stuff, but drying the stuff indoors will smell too much. Can i dry it somewhere else? Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe in the trunk of my car, but the temps will be really low then. Thanks for your help.

build a box just to dry in
screens or strings to hold the buds
small fan/filter for the smell

drying herb in a car trunk is a horrible idea
WTF will you do if you get pulled over ?

Sounds like these guys got you covered.

LISTEN TO THE BEAR! Don't use the trunk of your car!!!!!!! Unless prison seems like a good thing.

last year we just built a little shelter to block the wind and let the sun dry. Sun drying does kinda bleach the colour and i thought the taste was a little less wonderful then the stuff that was dried indoors with proper humidity and temperature levels

I wasn't going to drive the car around duhhh :D But yea i think i'll give a technique i saw on the internet a try. All i have to do i hang dry for 2 days then slowly dry it in a rubbermaid with newspaper, the box idea is good to. Ty for all the advice. Oh...and doesn't drying with the sun degrade the THC?

if they are all laying on top of each other they can develop mold really easily, they need good air flow around them

light does degrade thc

Hang the plants upside down under pine or cedar trees. The fan leaves will act as shingles and keep rain and sun off the bud. As long as there is no mold on them when you hang, a little rain wont hurt. Air circulation is key. Don't let the buds touch each other or the tree if at all possible. I usually leave them for a week. This takes about 75% +/- of the moisture out making the transport size and weight significantly less. I think under the right conditions they could be completely dry in 2 weeks or so. I hope this has helped some.

Now drying outside also depends on the humidity conditions of your area. It could take weeks (and not two days...)

I think a water cure would probably be best, its not for everyone but from what the people that do water cure say its the best thing since sliced bread. Im sure someone with greater knowledge than me can point u in the right direction
