Hi everyone, I'm new to this site, and at my wits end :(
My last three grows have gone to shit, and I am no closer to figuring out what is going on.
Let me summarize:

Healthy plants go in my 'sealed' co2 enriched grow space, they grow at a accelerated pace, then they start turning light in color and next the older fan leafs look like they have light bleaching going on along with a mg deficiency or even a nitrogen def. From that point on they loose older fan leafs faster then they can grow new ones resulting in greatly stunted growth.

I have worked on each environmental aspect as well as the nutes, to no avail. I am certain that the nute load is not an issue, as I let them tell me what they need and adjust accordingly.
I do not use addetive at this time other then cal mag and 35% h202 @ 6 ml gallon at res change. My nute load is about EC 1.2, staying stable over night with a slight increase of about 15 ppm over night.
I run a 600W HPs and my temps are keept between 76-80, my res temps are maintained@ 68 degrees. Hummidity is controlled at 40-60%
Now keep in mind that I have messed with all the above over the last theree grows in an effort to figure this nightmare out, and all I'm left with is a very dark looming suspicion that the co2 enrichment (1200-1600ppm during lights on) may have something to do with it :fsu:. Does anyone out there have any info on what might be going on? Pleeeeeeaaaase!!! Help me out mates, I'm going nuts with this.

Feel free to ask away, I'm willing to consider anything at this point:wallbash:

BTW, I'm drip feeding in hydroton with a external res. Can i overwater hydroton? Doesn't look like a over watering problem though.

Thanks guys,
Kindman

How's your PH? Keeping it between 5.5 and 6.2?

Hi Toke, Yeah, ph is always between 5.6- 6.1, I usually let it drift a bit within these ranges. As you can imagine, since this has been going on for 3 grows now I have played around with it a bit, but have come to the following findings on my ph. I'm fine with the above range, below 5.2 it can give the leafs a little ph 'twist'

You have a deficiency.
If it's not ph lockout, you need to add nitrogen if vegging or potasium if flowering.

Yeah, that was my first thought 3 grows ago, but I have tried more nutes, less nutes, now I'm back to what has always worked for me, go by what the they tell me. I monitor the run off as well as the res itself.

Currently I have switched the co2 off, may be it has to do with my sealed environment?!

My bud is growing the same strains with close to identical nute loads and has had no problems over the last 2 grows.
He has no ac and therefore has to constantly vent his space, whereas I have mine sealed during lights on and vent during lights off. He goes through a 20#er of co2 in like a week lol, and uses a 400W, but growes some nice ass bud!

BTW, I agree that it is a deficiency, I'm just leaning in the direction of a lock out, since I already tried adjusting the nute load all the way up to EC1.7 to no avail, at that point the younger leafs developed tip burn as well.

Anybody know if it possibly can be co2 burn?

It is driving me mad:fsu::1help::1help::1help:

Check out the sick plants section.
You should find some good info there.

Like I said this started 3 grows ago, since then I have been in countless 'sick plant' sections, have bought several books on the subject and feel in general a lot smarter lol, but, I am still not able to cure my babies of a very obvious Nitrogen/mg def.
I need people with co2 experience, since there are only a view books and they are no good when it comes to co2 and possible burn problems.

Thanks for the reply though :)

Are you growing in a tent?

Check the tent off-gassing threads. Sounds like what you're experiencing.

Some materials give off toxic gasses when they're hit with UV and heat. Sounds kinda like what's going on with your setup.

Thanks mate, I checked out the sticky thread in the infirmary, wow, looks just like my problem. Anybody got more info on this? Most of the info in the sticky was relating to tents not to sealed spaces in general.
