ScrOG pruning

I need to start pruning the underneath of my scrog (we're 5 days in flowering) is the picture below correct? or too drastic?

cool... this isnt mine btw, this is just a pic I'm going to use as a guide to how much to trim - if its correct :smile:

looks good, when i pruned i went even further and removed about an inch from the top of the screen, fans and small budsites.

Nope - that's not too drastic. I started stripping them from the bottom as I wove them through the screen, over a week probably (was back in 07 last time I scrogged).

If you've got a 1000W+ you don't need to be as severe as that because they have decent light penetration to the underlying leaves. But depends how big an area and how much time you want to dedicate to it.



This was in my 1.2Mx1.2M tent with a 400W (although the screen was a bit low on this one). Hope that helps you a bit. :wave:

Best of luck JamieShoes, i'm sure you will do alright though, mj is a very forgiving plant for the most part.
 
JamieShoes - it's a good idea to trim everything under the screen, mainly so that mold doesn't have a place to live. The pic you have is done perfectly. Don't worry, if you cut too many leaves, they will grow back.

you're quite right about giving mold a place to live though, as I was clearing I found signs of powdery mildew/mold .. I shouldve gotten to this a bit sooner ...DOH!
