Passion nr 1 (dutch passion)

Grew this one in 2006.

According to dutch passion this should be an indica variety.

However the leaves and especially teh buds have a sativa appearance.(well more indica/sativa hybrid leaning towards sativa)

It makes big cola' s but the buds are airy and trimming is a nightmare.

It finished 30 september just as Dutch passion said.

It has a citrus aroma , less sweet and more citrus like.

In the beginning it is a joy to smoke but it gets boring real quick.

The effect is also something i was dissappointed of , it has IMHO a sativa effect , a milde high.
Good for smoking at a pool or in situations when u still have to function.

All in all i will give this strain a second chance cuz of the harvest date and the buds.

I am hoping my second grow will give a plant with harder buds and a better effect.

It is pretty mold resistant but i still got some mold in the end.

What are your experiences with Passion nr 1

Not to be sexist or anything but for me it is more like a women's weed.

But because it is so early and quit sticky it wil make a good hash plant

thanks for sharing. nice greenhouse. i've been looking at a few early finishing outdoor strains. another respected member of this forum had a poor experience with this one too.

for a september harvest, i'm leaning towards.... guerrilla gold, kc33, texada timewarp, speed queen and durban poison for my outdoor run in 09.

I can strongly recommend frisian dew from DP , this one actually makes compact buds with a great taste and smell and a good effect. Also very mold resistant for suck compact nugs , harvested 21-30 sept.

Yeah it's a shame passion nr 1 lacks potency. It seems such a nice weed , untill u smoke it for a few weeks

the finish date is early for european genetics, but although i thought it had quite a nice high, it certainly lacks potency.

if you are looking for early outdoor strains the best reports ive heard are of canadian genetics - Geurilla Gold and its crosses

I am also going for GG2 and manitoba medicine and another frisian dew.

WIth the frisian dew it is important to choose the right pheno. I had 6 plants.

The dark purple one was lacking in potency , but the others where real good.

There is also a green one with a heavy stone.

Which pheno did u grow out? The dark purple one, red one , red and green one, blue pink yellow skunky one , green one???

Plus with this plant you are sure you can harvest nice tasty buds in time with almost no mold.

I am done with putting indoor strains outside here.

The FD is the strongest early finishing strain i smoked thus far and it has decent buds no fluffy stuff.

Well i can't base my opinion on a strain after having grown only one plant. So i am gonna give it a second chance , still got 6 beans.

looks like you did a cracking job man, even if theres a better pheno to be sprut...ive a few of these beans to have a go with myself so il keep an eye on your progress.

Are these 2 strains the same? What is the difference , if any??

Passion#1 is a great outdoor variety if grown with at least 7 hours direct sunlight,the more sun she gets the better the outcome,but please fuck fucks sake don't grom em under light as you'll be very disappointed.
danish passion is from passion#1 but has been bred for along time in denmark,if that's not write someone will correct me.

yes marijuanamat, danish passion is an 80ties passion#1 grown here since and dusted by a skunk along the way. its 2-3 weeks earlier than the passion#1 from holland

What differences do you notice between the dutch and the danish version??

Are effect , taste and aroma different?

been so long on the original p#1 but i remember only a nice citrus\orange taste and very good potens. dp is lil more sativa and lil less potens, but very potent phenos are in there to. smoke is more fruty. guerilla gold x danish passion is just great!
