Power plant strain

Dutch Passion. Anyone have any experience w/this strain. My next run will be this along w/skunk#1 and of course white widow. Always thought skunk was mostly indica but i guess not.

So if i get it right , u want info on the strain power plant by dutch passion

PP has about 10 weeks of flowering , has a great smell and aroma , smokes very soft and the effect is also a nice high/stone , typical coffeeshop weed.

I love power plant - it has a speedy, up, energetic high. Great party weed if you dont overdo it.

For a mainly sativa it grows quite like an indica - fat hard buds - some people have a problem with magnesium deficiency/lockout so it may be a good idea to add dolomite lime to your soil or something to boost the magnesium - or bear it in mind of you seem to have deficiency.

PPP is a great plant, easy going, tolerant, good yielding, nice buzz, cant think of anything to say about her ... well, maybe that the hit is not quite as classic Sativa as you might think, still nice though :)

Skunk is mostly sativa, Sam's clever and exhausting breeding program gave us an amazing plant with most of the good Indica qualities combined with most of the good Sativa qualities, I saw somwehere recently that he used 10's of 1,000s of plants to make the selection, not too sure if anybody else has ever done anything of that magnitude since, even in Switzerland.

Nop he is talking about PP which is totally diofferent from PPP

My PP didn't have an up high , but the trichs where mostly amber . It had more of a strong stone mixed with high

Ah you mean DP does Power Plant [PP] and Nirvana's is PPP ?

I always thought the PP stood for Pure Power Plant ?

The PP/PPP I have had did have a stonier effect than I expected, as I posted, it is also quite a yielder, again not what you expect from a sativa ....

I just picked up a "Powerplant" cutting and have Nirvana PPP seedlings going so may be able to see the 2 alongside each other.

Yes

The PPP makes harder bigger buds and has a fresh , sweet piney smell

The PP has a very special smell and aroma ,, a bit like coconuts mixed with incense and sativa , IMHO the PP is much tastier then the PPP but that is just personal prefererence.

As a plant i like the PPP more cuz of its yield and buds

PP , dutch passion flowered 5 weeks outdoors in cold conditions and 6 weeks indoors

Excellent high quality info, many thanks. I just hope my "powerplant" cut is the DP so I can compare the two.....

Dutch passion has these fem seed packs. 3 different strains w/2 seeds each. about 75 w/shipping. They have about 7 different combos. Some for indoor and some for out. They tried to match similar growing plants. Well see.

i loved PP (DutchPassion Powerplant) and still regret letting the strain go-i didn't actually let it go, pythium took it:( but you know what i mean

i found it's a strong 8week sat-two basic phenos (one more sat-one more indi) with the same v speedy hit.

the most significant point IMO is to keep the nutes v light-eg i got the best ntf results @ ec 1.25, maxing out at ec1.35 in early flower.

the smell and taste were nothing special.
it's really good weed

many thanks for the NFT obs Eddie, seems to be a bit of consistency with stories of strains nearer their landrace origins preferring lower ECs .. or that is an impression I am getting, no doubt not true for all.....

Sorry, but I am being thick and do not understand this bit ?

Yo ChaosC

no-you are not being thick -it was my poor use of language.
for me PP does not have an outstanding smell-a bit lemony-a bit dank-with slight fuel/chem aspect-but for me the smell (and everything else) is secondary to the hit-and i really like the hit-which is speedy and exciting.
One friend described the hit like a sativa punch in the face-another friend, after eating a tiny amount, went really strange for about 8hours-kept thinking that he was going to die-hallucinating etc-it should be strong if grown properly.

i think that the strain has got a bad rep due to being much grown by commerical growers in Europe
cheers

I run alot of DP PP its not bad very lanky stretches like a bitch buts yeilds real nice... smell and taste are amazing.... high to me is little week but everyone always ask for it over and over so it cant be to bad....

The pheno i have i had to add some sort of N at transplant before flower cause she likes to yellow out little to early but its probably pheno dependent....

And if it aint cleared up already

Dp has PP
and

Nirvana has PPP

Top stuff again Eddie, I have a DP cut and Nirvana seedlings to compare... all being well, this summer. 2 years ago a PP/PPP did really well, cannot for the life of me remember its origin...

My results with DP PP have been much like EddieShoestring's. Predictable results, very uniform, a potent sativa slap in the face! Yeilds great also. It's been a few years since I've ran any. Great beans for the price IMO.
