Optimal setup for DR150

Ive got a DarkRoom 150

5'x5'x6'7"

I will be growing six plants.
I am trying to decide what kind of light i want to outfit it with.

I will use a GrowZilla dual bulb hood

here are some of the combinations im considering...


1.dual 600w lumatek 600hps + 600mh

2.1kw super hps + 400w Ceramic Metal halide

3.1kw hybrid bulb mh/hps + 400w ceramic metal halide

hm.... a 5 by 5 is a wierd config...most lights do like 3 by 3 or 4 by 4....your best bet is kitty corner the light with a 1000 watt hps or your hood...and hmm your 6 plants..that will take foreve to veg to fill that..at least a month or 2..if you want to have a reall harvest...can you get at least 9 plants or 12...better yet id go with minimum 20 plants per light...if you can get more then 6 plants then great..if not...6 plants in 5 gallon pots with screens at 11 inchs above the soil....scrog those bitchs out for a month and you will have the yields your looking for

I could use two hoods, dual 600, but i dont think i'd get the spectrum dispersion that I want


What do you guys think about a 1kw hybrid bulb paired with a 400w CMH??? [under one hood of course]

Does anyone that's had experience know which spectrum combination will work best?

1000w in a 5x5 is a lot. make sure you have excellent ventilation and temp control. 600w is much easier to work with in that size.

Yea i will have very good ventilation.


an admin in another growing forum does 2000w in 5x5 under the same hood i want to use. he gets very good results , so im thinking 1kw mixed spectrum + 400w cmh will be just fine, but thank you, i do need
