WHAT'S THE BEST STRAIN TO GROW OUTDOORS?

B

BigTex

I've been doin my thing outdoors for awhile but until recently have never before ordered seeds from a seed bank. Well I just got my first purchase without a hitch and I want to order again for a patch this summer. I was hoping some of you could give me some input that will help me pick a good variety. Main qualities I look for are early maturation, potency, yield, and mold resistance( but mold isn't a big problem here). Mostly I'm looking for a strong yielder with some or a nice cola.

Indica or sativa ?

You can save yourself great loads of work and effort by getting femmed seeds. By 20 seeds and youll take 15 females to the field and all that is left is to wait for harvest. No culling males, no replanting holes the males were cut from . Just sprout and plant. Just keep the lighting stable and you'll never see a male flower

Indica fems
Sweet seeds/cream caramel is a good outdoor strain w/ above average potency/yeild and
Paradise/ Sensi star- yields arent real big but damn she's potent

Sativa. I dont grow many
Femmed Flo from Dp may be one of the best over the past 15 years.

Hey thanks guys. Actually I was checking out the Dew from planet skunk. I'm kinda torn between it and the Passion #1. I'll check out that GG.

Don't choose ^passion nr it's a weak strain I have grown it in 2006 , it has a nice taste but is sooo weak and it has fluffy leafy buds.

Hey thanks. I was checking out some stuff called Opium. Says it's got huge buds and the time was pretty quick, but the THc level and expected yield were pretty awesome. Looks better than passion for sure, but damn it's expensive!

where do you pick up your cream caramel seeds at? last time i tried to pick up
some seeds from dr. chronic they were sold out. just wondering if you get your
cream caramel seeds anywhere else?

There is no best strain to grow outdoors, but there are plenty of good ones to choose from depending on ya climate and area ya plan on growing in

Check out the outdoor strain guide stickied at the top of this page to see many wonderful strains :)

I was looking into buying some strains for my outdoor season, and the trait I was goin for was yeild

What I came up with - although this was just yield, not potency, harvest time, or mold resistance (no order)

Heavy Duty Fruity
Critical Mass
Ak-47
KC-33?
Chronic

Good Luck

Hey professor and Greenatik I couldn't decide so I got Blueberry, Super skunk, White Rhyno, White Russian. Good choices? I'll be growing these out in Texas. This was my first seed purchase so I'm pretty dang excited to say the least.

You are so right. I generally like to be done from mid-October to Halloween. Seems like the best stuff always comes off about that time, at least to me. You know the longer you got em out there the better the chances are for something happening, that's all. One year I had some real late sativas that survived a couple real mild freezes/frosts and went until the 10th of December. Pretty crazy, huh? Can't pull that off ever year though. Bet some of yall would love to have a growing season like that. You can really make some monster plants here by starting em about now. Two pound yields aren't too hard to achieve, but that's like 3.5-4 months veg time. Good luck to ya this year bro!
