Ontario growers early finishing strain thread.

I would like to start a thread about early finishing strains done in Ontario by Ontario growers.Kind of like the outdoor strain guide, but a little different.Don't get me wrong i love the outdoor strain guide, however the problem is that many growers are from different parts of the world and their finishing times are a lot different from Ontario,Canada.I would love for all you Ontario growers to post a report on your early finishing strains!Use the same template as the outdoor strain guide, including which part of Ontario you are from(northern, central, southern, western, eastern, south eastern....etc,you get the picture)I will start off with a strain i have not grown, but it is grown in southern Ontario.

Strain/breeder:GG#5, Geurilla Greens
Harvest time:End of August-September 7th
Latitude of Grow:45 Degrees
Location:Southern Ontario
Average Yield:2-3 Ounces per Plant
Mold?:Very Little
Potency:8.7,nice soaring stone!
Year of Grow:2008
Description:This is simply a really nice outdoor strain, done very early, easy to manage and has a very nice piny, spicy taste. The high is the best part, its really in the head, and potent!Grown organically in rubbermaid tubs geurilla style.

Please leave a description on how plant was grown, ferts used, taste, quality and type of high,as well as any problems noticed.Pics added would be awesome as well.Sorry to Backcountry for stealing his template,i hope u dont mind.So there it is.....Hope to see many outdoor reports on this thread in the future!Past reports are more than welcome!

Chongsbuddy, this is a good idea for Ontario growers and I think others with similar climates and latitudes would like to consult such a thread too.

However, I would suggest copying and pasting these grow reports to the outdoor strain guide because I'm sure everyone would like to read the reports.

I'm glad you liked the Guerilla Gold #5! It's one of my favourites too. Your right about that wacked soaring high, but I find that some of the shorter indica phenos are real stoney instead. It's such a nice early strain.

theres so mutch bad outdoor weed where I am , It accounts for about 50% of the commercial weed floating around during its peak time of distribution , then in the winter massive amounts of freezerburnt shit floating around, where I am in southwestern Ontario that 10% of the community that you do want to associate with is hard to find ,
I found some awsome ouganic outdoor done by some 40yr old native
had some great flavour I'd love to see what others can do here in this climate
I wonder how a plant would weather to one of our nasty spring summer severe storms.......last year was a wiered one

LOL! I thought I was lost with computers. OK, just left-click over the area of text that you want to copy until that area is blue and then just right-click and select "copy". Then go to the outdoor strainguide and click post quick reply. Then in the box just right-click and select paste and you are good to go.

Anyway, to get back on topic, My general reccommendations for outdoors are:

-Early Queen
-Speed Queen
-Mandala #1

But, if you're in southern ontario.. you can get away with a lot of 8-10 weeks strains too!

I have also been growing in ontario for many years. I ahve had good luck with many starins outdoors. My biggest harvest was with donkey dick from the mighty mite seed co. it was finished mid to late sept. The only issues i had was they got to big and they are light green and hard to hide. The smoke was good. This year i will be Growing Super Skunk, White widdow, Big Bang.

Good luck

...with reguard to the award winning strains, some of these smaller new breeders are producing some really good marijuana seeds, especially in Canada..

Ive learned to be somewhat skeptical of the"award winning brands". Not that they're bad, it's just that they have hardly ever been my best grows. The really nice ones have usually been suprises from less than award winning breeders . I pay attention when I see a new one.
