What's new

Have some questions, please HELP!

I'll be starting my first grow by the end of this month. The grow room of choice will be a secret jardin darkroom tent 2ft. x 2ft. x 4ft.7, i'll be using a 400w cool tube light from HTG supply along with a 4" carbon filter/fan. I'll be trying to fit 9 plants in there using 2 gallon pots. I want to veg them for atleast 2 weeks for 18hrs a day before i switch them to 12/12. Will the light bulbs that are included with my lighting system be ok or should i swap them out in favor for some better brands? If so, what light bulbs will be the best to veg them in to get the best grow out of them before i switch them to flower? After switching them to 12/12 what light bulbs will be best for them to flower in to get the most and biggest buds at the end of the run? Any help would be greatly appreciated, looking foward for some answers, thanks.

i was told by another member from a different forum to let them veg in the regular 400w MH bulbs and the switch it to the son t plus 430w HPS for flower. This way i'll get the most yield with huge buds at the end. Does this sound correct?

some time ago i read article written by ed rosenthal, he wrote that hps is the same or just better for veg than mh.. so i think do as you wish i'd use hps..

from start to finish 400w sunmaster warm deluxe should promote dense fruiting, and compact plants. would add a 40w uvb bulb (for reproductive/fruiting gland increase).
no single indoor light will compare to full spectrum sunlight. the garden can be enhanced towards a fuller spectrum by adding different wavelength nm's (colors).

a cfl, a florescent tube, a party light, etc - complementing (opposite from) the primary light(s) - in the garden will provide broader colors for the vegetables to relax under/in.
these may be options.

find own particular lights that suit that environ. the plants will survive+thrive whichever are chosen. relax+enjoy the garden!

ya just get a high quality HPS bulb like a hortilux and it will be fine for veg/flower. if you wanna use something else for veg id just get some nice T5's... save a bunch of money on elec bill by using those 18/6 instead of a HPS or MH..
