SSH vs Satori

I was set to order the Satori because I was weary of the long flowering time of Mr Nice Super Silver Haze (11-12 weeks) but then I discovered a thread about the 60 days pheno and now I'm having second thought.

So it seems both their flowering time are about the same, depending on the pheno. What i want to know is, out of the two, which has the better yield, the better high (which do they prefer and why?) and hardiness. I know the Satori is heat resistant, what about the SSH? Price is not an issue. Thanks

If price is not an issue, why not run both? You'll see pheno's ranging from the famed 60-day pheno to ones that will take 11-12wks if not slightly more...

but if its one or the other, take SSH from shanti...while mandala has its shit together...ssh is just plain solid in all departments

I gotta say, I'm amazed at the reply time here at icmag and it really showcase icmagers willingness to help.

The thoughts of running both never occurred to me because of my notion of them having the same high? Please enlighten me if I'm off-base. I'm looking for a happy and clear headed high, with the feeling of contentment without the trippy effect.

Can you please explain why you prefer the SSH over Satori? Is it the potency, vigor of the plant, or is the high just that much better (if so, what are the differences?).
How well does the SSH thrive under hot temperature (90F indoor)?

Yes, the Apollo 11 is on the top of my list but the seeds won't be available until the end of the year and my mission to find cuttings were unsuccessful.

If price is no issue, run em both. I have yet to find seeds that consistently impress me as much as ssh and the crosses I made with it. Mandala's Kalichakra was a real let down for me.

IME, SSH comes in 8-12 wks from clone, with most cuts I've seen finishing in 10 weeks or less. I was hesitant of the flower time too, but they come in fast as a group (for a 50% haze hybrid), and the high/taste are unique and intense. I'm running some ssh f2's now that I made with 2 males and 6 females. I would rather run these than ~95% of the available seedpacks.

I recommend SSH so strongly, because almost all of the plants are better than the selections I've done from other packs. And the SSH selection...

SSH is tops but it isn't exactly a clear high IMO. It is a great smoke but when I smoke it there is no hiding I am fucked up. My eyes turn to slits and my mind gets going.

La Nina has the happiest clear headed high I have experienced. I just soaked 9 seeds to be planted today to do an all La Nina run. It is a great day smoke. I can go to work and figure stuff out without spacing off and forgetting what I am doing. Lotsa giggles with the LN. Good party herb. Pretty fast for a Haze hybrid too.

I've smoked a ton of satori, it's good dont get me wrong. Im just finishing up some MNS SSH and I expect great things from this strain, I did alot of research on SSH before I dropped that much $$ on the seeds, everything I have read basically said SSH is some legendary smoke. When you combine 3 world class strains like NL, Haze and Skunk the outcome is bound to be an all star combination.

A little bit about satori, it's very clear headed (almost too clear headed) and motivational, I like to smoke it before I lift weights. I've smoked so much of it in the past year I have kind of grown sick of it's high and smell. One real positive about satori is that it takes a really long time and lots of puffing to develop a tolerence, although it has a low ceiling. I dont know about you, but sometimes when I smoke weed I want to get really fucked up, Satori just doesnt deliver that. It has its place in the stash, like I said great before excercise or when you have to be social, but if this was the only strain in my arsenal I think I'd get bored.

I'm gonna disagree on Satori's potency. I ran this last year and got a couple phenos that were covered in crystals and would knock you on your ass (but more, mentally knock you on your ass, not so much couchlock....)

SSH will give you that up, clear and soaring effect your looking for but also be prepared for flipside aftermatch - the Indica bang!, whole body shaking, russian female wrestler body slam to the canvas, leaves you higher than a kite but in 'statue mode' - your body will stay still - only your eyes move lol ,
highly recommended to the max!

The Satori is good, even better when taken to ten weeks. Matter of fact, I dont think you get the best out of Satori if you take earlier. so the difference in flower time isnt all that much.
