Really i think of weed as wine, their is no bottom or top to how good or bad weed can get and their are as many varriables each to be enjoyed, i love packing a bowl, i love the taste, i love looking at it, i love the smell before you burn it and after (ever smell your bowl after the first hit? coffeeyee goodness), i love the taste of the smoke, i even chew stems. My favorite alcohol is tequila tincture (soak some stems in tequila for two weeks and it picks up a sweet earthy taste).

I LOVE WEED.

See in my opinion that doesn't make you a snob. A weed snob would go out of his way to make everyone who doesn't have centerfold quality buds feel like a failure. Having access to primo buds, or knowing how to grow primo buds, doesn't make you a snob. Its the attitude that makes a snob.

And what you said about the experience is absolutely correct. Hey, hitting someone's mids won't give you the best pure smoking experience, but maybe their good company might make up for it. If you turn them down point blank, you might miss out on some laughs, etc. Then again there is the safety aspect. Say you hit a party and some dude you don't know from Adam starts passing some shit around. Do you trust that friend of a friend of a friend? That's when the whole thing turns into a judgement call. Who cares if you get called a snob for that.

I wouldn't say I'm a pot snob...but obviously I prefer the best. I mean i'll smoke other people's not great weed, but luckly I only buy good bud now. Haven't even bought beasters in like almost a year.

I'd say I'm on my way to becoming a pot snob...if I grew my own then I would be ha.

I've returned plenty of weed to dealers, so I guess in a moderate sense I am a pot snob, but only when it comes to really bad weed. What we call pond weed around here (moist, planty smelling, leafy indicas) I will smoke, but if it's of especially bad quality or not the amount I asked for, I take it back. I guess I'm just slightly more picky than other people.

One of the dealers I know buys brown clown by the ton, literally. It sits around for 7 or 8 months getting worse every day. He snorts his coke and drinks like a fish so I guess he doesn't need much else. A single joint of my fresh puts his dick in the dirt every time. Then in a stupor he whips out his crap lol. i think being a "weed snob" is relative. if you know a lot and hang around people that know very little about cannabis, you may come off as a snob, because many people don't care about weed past the idea that they are just using it to get high
but if you hang around a lot of people who know what they are talking about, you may not look so much like a snob

as far as being willing to smoke shit? absolutely not. if you haven't seen commercial outdoor bud under a magnifying glass, then i suggest you do so. the number of bugs and random whatever on the bud is ridiculous.

the other day a guy in a shop showed me a tub with about 50 grams of reasonable looking "snow white".. I said "pffft did someone fuck up the forcast? it totally forgot to snow on this lot" .. to be fair the seller must also have been a weed snob because he smiled and then showed me his sensi star

I think it really depends on your situation...

In my youth, I wouldn't ever turn down a smoke, of any kind. I thought the mexi import was primo... but once you get a rip of something nice, and that flavor rolls off your tounge, and that feeling settles in after about 2 good rips.. your perspective changes. Once I had the taste, I realized what a joke the brick weed was and if I was going to spend my hard earned money on something... I would much rather have the local outdoor, the local hydro, the Skunks and the Blueberries and the Widows of the world. Then I think once you grow your own, you start looking at the things like local outdoor differently too. Then your bar goes even higher. Not to mention by this point there have been days upon days of research into cannabis and plenty of books have been read, and then cannabis isn't "weed" anymore... it's cannabis, damnit, and THIS is how its supposed to be. I don't think it makes you a snob, it's not a bad thing that you're more educated about cannabis...I wish everyone was

Now I say that, to say this... I NEVER make people feel bad. I will NEVER, EVER insult how someone rolls, their bud, or their knowledge. I realize that there is a vast array of cannabis users, some more savvy than others... but I don't feel "better" than anyone, I view it like they are in the "beginning" stages just like I was a long time ago.

If someone says something bogus, I correct them. If someone pulls out some commercial, I say here, let's smoke from my bag. Who knows? Maybe your kind bud will be the bud that turns them and if you would have never extended that kindness, they'd be stuck in that beginner stage forever.

I smoke with only a handful of people with any kind of regularity, and these people I would call "canna-suers" just like most of us here. They know kind herb, and they WANT kind herb. There's nothing greater than smoking awesome cannabis and then breaking that shit down, having a stoned conversation about flavor, smell, high, bag appeal, where it ranks on the list, etc with like minded, similarly educated people. That isn't to say that once and a while I don't smoke with old friends, or the occasional random happenstance (like at a concerct) where the people I'm enjoying the herb with fall into the "beginning" stages of cannabis appreciation... but I don't necesarrily "seek out" their company.

Does that make me a snob? I don't think so. I think I'm just a kind hearted canna-lover

Edit to say another thing, I do believe there is such a thing as cannabis snobs. The ones who have it in their heads that only their homegrown or only their guy (even worse) has the best cannabis ever, hands down, no need discussing. These are the people I smile politely at and nod my head, enjoy their herb, then slowly never socialize with them again. I've met a few people like this, back in college there was a botany major who thought he had some untapped knowledge about cannabis and that he WAS the source for any and all cannabis related information, and the keeper of all that is dank. He was a smart dude, but he didn't subscribe to the idea that he's not the only smart dude out there or that there actually IS a certain level where all cannabis is comparable. For instance, in my eyes: quality homegrown = the best dutch coffeshop cannabis = good tropical outdoor = good outdoor in other suitable climates (I think anything that falls into these categories is the pinnacle of cannabis, and definitely worth smoking and trying to remember about it hehe)... and his view was: my weed > all. Not my style. Maybe it's a philosphical difference?

Yes im a weed snob but ppl around here smoke the worst shit you can imagine.

Even ppl who have been smoking for years. A while back i smoked from a friends weed and it was SHIT laced with sand or some crap. It tasted like ass and there was definitely some crap in it. You could see that it was laced.

I told him thats crap i dont smoke that. And my friend said "nooo its really good, look at all the resin" lmao.

i also think this may make me a pot snob but i have and EXACT way i do everything from how much i turn my grinder how man times i tap it with the nickel in it and with it out, i have a specific way i load bowls too, just because ive found out that this way makes them get nice a cherry and stay that way for the whole sesh.

I'd rather be labeled a snob for breaking out the goods straight from the jump and saying "Let me check that out" when they bust out the schwagg, and, after some feined thoughtful consideration rolling that sack up and stuffing it Back in their pocket with a comment like "That looks ok" (unless it was Really shitty ... then I'd let them know That in No Uncertain Terms) and offer up the Truth "but I don't think the highs will mix" ...
