My 300 watt T5 Grow

I am still putting the finishing touches on my cab but I figured I would start a thread anyways.

I will be growing white widow and orange bud
My cab is 36" x 17" x 36" L x W x H
I will be using 12 2' 25watt t5 fluorescent tubes placed all around the cab
It will be a sog and this is my first grow that will finish last one had only males :'(

will post pictures later.

Thundurkel would i be better of doing a sog at first or a scrog? i have probably about 3 or so sqrft and using your plant density of 16 per sqrft i can probably get about 48 or so plants in there and with at least a few grams per plant i could get decent yields, so i think im going to change the scrog to a sog, what do you think?

Like I said I love SOG it's more fun to me as I have more harvests and get to know my strain faster as I'm growing multiple numbers of it more often than a SCROG where it's going to take me 4-5 harvests over a year to know my strain IMO but thats just me... I really think that it has helped me learn quicker and if you have a problem it's usually not a whole crops loss it may just be a row....

aight well i am going to do a sog now, is there a guide on doing DrBuds method as i find most posts tend to be all over the place.

P.S. Thundurkel how do you fit 16 20oz soda bottles in one sqrft?

Nvm thundurkel i was thinking 2L soda bottles now i understand its 550 ml soda bottles.

Also today we have 3 sprouts 1 showing its nice little leaves the 2nd one is about to open its leaves and the third one has a stem and a bulb for the leaves but it just wont ope so it might die, 2 others have yet to break surface but i have hopes.

What lamps you going to use? Have you considered the pure red and pure blue lamps? I'd really like to see a start to finish grow with those lamps.

right now I have the full spectrum tubes but I will be switching out in flower to the 3500k tubes and then possible getting some purple tubes if I can find them.

Just a little update as of now i have 4 sprouts and one that looks like she might sprout her little leaves tomorrow.

these were grown under (8) 4ft t5s and t8s. these pictures were taking at 30days. they are SNOW WHITE a variation on White Widow. i love my t5 setup.

i have a question why are my seedlings growing so slowly? I have grown before and from what i can remember they grew fast at seedling stage.

Seedlings are in peat pots under flouros watered normal water every day.

How close do you have them to the lights?? with my clones I have to keep them close like 3" for them to grow quicker but it's also strain dependent also as my SR71 Purple Kush is the slowest growing strain I have and needs to be vegged a month before the rest when I want to grow them together with a proper canopy...

If you are going to go Fox Farm for your nute line up you could start feeding with a light dose of Big Bloom now, the FF feeding chart recommends 2tbs now and through the first week of veg then add the Grow Big with it for week 2 and so on... I would cut that in half though cuz less is more with FF from what I've heard and what I see in my garden... Also Coco is the way to go for faster growth also cuz that PK of mine actually is growing a good week faster now that I have her in my Black Gold Coco Blend... I didn't like the drainage much on the BGCB so I wanted to try out a hybrid mix of Fox Farm Ocean Forest and the Black Gold Coco Blend so I went 50/50 with them and I have 3 new rows coming up in this new mix and the drainage is better and the root growth is just as explosive so I'll let ya know how it goes if you're curious....

Well when i grow w/ cfl's i keep them like 1/2 inch away from the plant and have phenomenal results.

how old are they? when i started mine they started out real slow. be careful about overwatering, i made that mistake once. but other than that it takes a good 3 weeks or so to get a good size but a day or two after they hit that bigger stage they take offfffffffffff....

also what size pots are you in now bc i started in big solo cups and after 2-3 weeks i needed to transplant. good luck bro and get some batteries!
