Not sure if we've mentioned it, but there was a nice big box of trim at the end and we made iso hash from all of it, resulting in about 6 grams of hash total. Two grams of that went into a batch of delicious brownies....and a couple of those brownies kept me and Dr B pretty chill all day today.

DJ's Blueberry has had a bit of a time of it...it managed to get a bit underwatered, probably because it doesn't have a lot of roots yet, but it has perked up now and seems like it's growing finally. Picked up Rhizotonic at a hydro shop yesterday and foliar sprayed everything with it, so hopefully that will help with the rooting.

Still waiting for the cuts of the seedlings to root, but they all look nice.

in the flower room: Sour Diesel is stanky dank sticky, though most of its fan leaves are trashed. probably another 2-3 weeks to go. Flo is budding up nicely. the Cherry AK-47 looks better now than it has at any other point in its life. and the SFV OG is slow but growing. The G-13 that's going in next is still being a tad cranky and isn't fully rooted so it's going to be a little while.

Cuts of C99 2 and 4, C99xSSH 1 and Purple Urkle have rooted. Edit: breaking news. SFV OG rooted. yes, i am this bored. Few more days before they can go into soil and their parent plants can get flowered (well, the C99s and SSH at least. Purple Urkle might have to wait for space). verrrrry exciting.

the Sour Diesel looks like death and basically has no fan leaves left. it's on reduced nutrients and we're probably jsut going to start flushing it soon. it never really recovered from the underwatering (bad timing) and if that's out the light can get lowered (it's way too tall).

I did want to get some results up from the last round before we smoke it all. the F13's totaled about 1.5 oz between the two of them, Purple Urkle and G13 each made around 1.5, and the Sensi Star only produced about a half oz. Trim from all the plants yielded 6grams of iso hash, as previously noted. everything is jarred and curing now, and getting smellier and more awesome by the day.

the overall winner of the last round has to be the G13, in my opinion. the Purple Urkle is fantastically pleasant, smooth smoke, but it took up a lot of space and had a lot of trouble with powdery mildew towards the end. the G13, despite having half the pot space of the other plants, produced as much bud as the Purple Urkle in 1/3-1/2 the canopy space. It's stinky, sticky and dense. The G13 was also spectacularly efficient: it produced virtually no popcorn/wasted bud, only dense nugs; it had very little leaf, and when trimming the leaves could be plucked off by hand pretty readily; the smell was not terribly noticeable until the plant was disturbed/damaged, then it stinks up everything. It was also very resistant to powdery mildew.

C99 3 has rooted, leaving only C99 1, C99xSSH 2 and Herijuana from that batch still to root (about 11 days after they were put in rockwool).

Dr B entrusted me with the great responsibility of taking more cuts this evening. couple more G13, SFV OG, and the tops off the Blue Moonshine (crazy purple stem!) and Fire Master 1.

in a week or so there should start to be good budporn I think. Flo is growing fast. stay tuned.

Very Nice set-up.....
I belive an HPS bulb in your flowering area will make U much Happier than the CMH.
Everyone I know that has used a CMH to flower has reported the same thing....
very leafy buds....
and a PITA to trim.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. To be honest I think i'm one of the few who has run the CMH and HPS alongside eachother. I really didn't notice any difference between the buds under the hps, and the buds under the CMH. http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?p=1446733&mode=linear#post1446733

I'll probly switch the CMH out for a HPS when I need a new bulb, try to figure out if I see a difference.

The Sour Diesel has been demoted out of the grow room for the crime of looking dead. too bad, but it made it 60 days so it should still be okay smoke though certainly not spectacular.... it still needs some flushing or a water cure but it certainly doesn't need the big light with no leaves left to absorb it, so it's in the dark.

I am tuned in, esp for the Flo. You guys are about ten days ahead of me with that cut, so post em up please. I wanna see what I am in for.

Great photography BTW. Folks dont know how tricky it can be to get good shots of pot plants. For every pics I have in my gallery, I probably took a dozen more that got canned.

yeah, the Flo we're running right now is from a cut that was passed around the collectives, but it's clearly different from the DJ Short-selected cut. So this cut might get dropped in favor of the DJ cut at some point, but it's a big healthy plant with tons of budsites and it looks like it's going to be a fast one. I'll get more pics of it up in hte next couple weeks as it starts to really fill out.
Thanks for the compliment on the photos! It's true, i always snap at least twice as many as make it into the thread no matter what. I've always enjoyed photographing plants and flowers though so the job of "Dr B's photographer" is cool by me!

What is to be done with the Sour D?

I just put the sour diesel in the bathtub and flushed it until the runoff was clear....there's a couple choices with this thing. it's at 60 days and it's not growing anymore since it's got no leaves left and seems to have no desire to save itself. but it hasn't really been flushed at all. should we...

1. chop and trim it now, then water-cure it all (replacing the flushing process with the water cure) to make some stealth smoke....OR
2. cut it and put the stem in a vase for a couple days (it only gets water, replacing the flushing process)...OR
3. leave it in the soil for a couple more days and keep giving it plain water, then chop and trim.

keep in mind, this is a plant with NO healthy fan leaves left. it looks almost like it has already been trimmed on the plant. underwatered for one day and it frickin' suicided on us, stupid plant. ah, well. we'll run it again.

ALSO.....just picked up cuts of Jack the Ripper, Querkle and Shiva Skunk. I'm most excited about the Jack, since i've really liked the other jack herer crosses i've smoked.

Flowering plants
Flo 23 days: It's not DJ's cut, but i'm still excited. I like the structure of the plant at this point, i'm hoping the high has something special to it.

SFV OG Kush 26 days, scrogged. Ok so I didn't train the OG perfectly. I'm still hoping to get a decent amount of homegrown OG. Can anyone in the know tell me if this is the legit cut of SFV OG. It came from a trusted medical source, but i've head that SFV OG is quite stretchy, with long internodes...while the plant I have grows short and squat, with only a small distance between branches. Any help is appreciated!

Cherry AK-47 23 days, scrogged. This cutting has grown awkwardly from the beginning. I couldn't get a cutting to root, so i'll either reveg or look for a healthier cutting if I think the smoke is worthy.

Just in: G13 2 days: After smoking the first batch, I can't wait to do another. This plant became unhappy after being underwatered and overfed, but is looking better by the day.

Chopped at 61 days: Sour Diesel. I really fucked this plant up. Didn't water it for about 12 hours too long and just died on me. Still looks to have yielded an acceptable amount of good smoke, so I can't complain.

C99 #1 clone finally rooted! Now it's time to flower the original seed plants to see what i've got. I'm putting them all together in a two gallon. I hope I find a nice male among the 3 non mutant C99's (1, 2 or 3), i'll be looking for smell and resin coverage as my main desirable qualities in a male.

I've heard the querkle could be a faster Purple Urkle....though I don't find P.U. to be slow, i'm going to give it a shot. Jack the Ripper is getting a chance in hopes that it bring s the delicious Jack Herrer taste into the rotation, at least until I can get some pure Jack Herrer seeds. Any info on these strains in appreciated.

Anyway things are moving quite nicely in the box these days. Thanks to Mz. Bloom for the lovely pictures! I'm trying to figure out how to keep a small number of my favorite strains around permanently, without the hassle that I currently go through due to not having mother plants.

The C99 seedlings are officially in the dark as of a couple hours ago! stay tuned to find out whether we've got the awesome male Dr B wants....

the new cuts (Shiva Skunk, Jack the Ripper, Querkle) are in soil now. the plan for these is to grow them until a good clone or two can be taken, then flower them small just to see what they are like.

the G13 and non-DJ-selected Flo that are slated to be bonsai moms got repotted to those small red/orange pots you see in some of our pics, and the G13 got topped and tied down. The bonsai Flo (the first one I started) is really coming along nicely, with about 6 tiny but even branches. we also have Mazar, Sour Diesel, Uk Cheese, DJ's Flo and DJ's Blueberry in red pots to be moms, and nice branchy Purple Urkle and Grape Ape cuts that will be in them soon. we may need more pots.

of the first round of seedlings that we topped and cloned, only the Herijuana has yet to root. aaaaaany day now....it still looks healthy, about 15 days after cutting.
