Ok I have big 10 plants that have been vegging quite a while now, they are getting BIG and i need to flower them, i have a 1k hps ballast hood bulb, carbon filter, 2x 6 inch vortex fans... if you want to see how big im talking look at this vid

(keep in mind this is a week old video too)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkPBLHBILUY

so anyway the tall ones get up to my chest in height so i don't think they will finish at any less than 6 feet..... i need to build a room instead of gettinga tent because i will need head space

i want to build the room 4x8 so i have room for another 1k when i can afford it.

i have no construction skils i have never made anything in my life so i know its gonna be hard, if i want to build this grow room inside my bedroom what peices of wood do i need to buy... how long in legneth and what type of wood, also i want to know about bolting it to gether....

what else do i need to make this thing work and be lightproof?

How high is your bedroom ceiling?

edit: Google Sketch Up is a great tool for figuring out the dimensions you'll need to work with..

Are you gonna do the roll up poly door, or a prehung door? Because if you want to use poly and velcro, you just have to knock out a frame real quick, add a couple L brackets and support beams every 2' and then hang your Poly with cardboard and a staple gun. Add velcro, and BAM, instant custom sized grow tent.

You're going to need about 114' of wood and 256sq ft of B&W poly, if my calculations are correct.

I agree with Che. If construction isn't your thing it is much easier to build your own grow tent with 2x4s than to build an actual room. I, too, am not much of a builder, and before I started growing with my partner who has a contracting background I always built tents. You can even run your own electrical in them, just attach your cable staples to the frame!

Just alittle tip i was gonna make a growroom just as u planned till i checked out bghydro.com, they have some "Homebox seconds" for a very good price. Somthin like 230 for the 8foot by 4foot one, might be a tad more expensive then building it but the tents u can actually break down and u don't have to worry about building shit

What I did was use 2x3's for my veg (Frame studs) and built a frame. Google how to frame a wall. and sealed it up using poly using staples (elec. staple gun) and silicone.

For the flower room, I used 2x4's as studs (needed it bigger and more stable for more fans etc...) and built a frame with that. Sealed it up using insulation and drywall inside the room. I think it might of been a tad overkill?
