pot sizes

Yea I don't see how it would appeal to anyone. But you don't know until you try it. My plants did not even notice when i stripped every fan leaf at day 20. And I just did it again at day 40. They look like they keep getting healthier, did not phase them for a second. I will reap some serious rewards and will never go back to not stripping.

You may not notice but doing this will reduce yield and Quality. Try letting one go with no trimming of the fan leaves.

Good luck

I think it confuses people when they think that when they strip the leaves they see sudden growth in other areas. All that I see when I clipped too many was new shoots growing so it can then be the "sun soaker" the ones I chopped should have been.

I think it also extends the flowering time while the plant takes time to heal itself. When I clipped my flowering times were always extended.

let them grow as they should and just move the leaves around so new growth can see the light or add supplemental side lighting to get that lower stuff if you want it growing OR scrog and not worry about it at all.

the pot size,

I have flowered in 2 liter bottles, 1 gallon and 2 gallon pots so far. I am about to move up to 5 gallon and 10 gallon pots and see how that goes. Longer veg BUT larger yields with less plants, stays within med laws and more yield.

More soil, more roots, more yield. It makes too much sense to NOT make sense.

my friends plants in my 6x6" square by 16" deep tree pots are TOTALY ROCKIN MY WORLD. the colas are too big to put your finger and thumb around, the leaves have like cheesey fur all over them. these are the same MISERABLE plants he have been growing crap pot with, in one galon pots with organic compost/perlite. i think it's cause they don't retain any water at all, you water them every day w/@ 1/2 dose of the stuff, & it dries out quick, .. and the stuff itself FLORA NOVA one part, KICKS HOLY VAG.

actually to get back on point i think the p0t size is a direct function of how long you veg them for, which determines how big they are going to eventually get in flower. since he has started vegging only for a couple weeks, they only need small pots. do like jrosek says. my mentor! (where the FK did he go anyways?)

not only that, but my (friends) plants are ready to harvest after only SIX WEEKS of flower. i mean my FRIENDS plants are. uh huuhm. yeah, friends. dudes, i am gonna take a before and after pic of the diff in these two sizes and mediums. throw your soil, compost etc in the trash. you will not believe that this is the same strain in both pics. (wife seems to have ditched the cable for the camera)

Depends on how big you will grow the plants. A 5 gallon bucket will grow a decent size plant. I've done a very small closet grow with 6 plants in 3 gallon rose buckets. Plants were approxiamtely 2.5-3 ft each.

But as a rule of thumb, bigger is better. All depends on how much space you have to work with.

My plants average 36"ht with a 45 day veg 40 in g then 5 days in 3g then flip to flower below are pics at 2.5 weeks of flower in 3 gallon pots

well guys, i cant seem to get my pics to be a small enough file size to download. but looking at the plants i can say the ones i put in the bigger tree pots the soonest (6x6x16deep-not 14" deep as i said before) are the ones that are just flat out smokin. even the ones in the same mixture, same flora nova, in the 4x4x12" deep tree pots. only diff is that i transplanted the ones into the 4x4x12's about a week after the first ones. they are twice as big. i don't know why other than pot size. that and they were directly under a 1000W HPS while the 4x4s were just barely off to the side next to the 6x6s

i just have to wonder if the one week delay, keeping them in the 3x3x6inch small container of organic compost, might have somehow stunted them compared to the others
