From Seed..Suprerme Hashplant, Sour Diesel IBL, Jack the Ripper, Agent Orange, HDF..

Hello everyone...
Well its time to pop some beans and pray for some ladies!..nothing unusual there! LOL

Its been a while since I've started any plants from seed, been running clones for a couple of harvests and now the time has come for some new varieties!!! Its been difficult picking the beans, but this is what I've decided on...
Reeferman's Supreme Hashplant (5 beans)
Rez's Sour Diesel IBL (5 beans)
Subcool/TGA's Jack The Ripper (5 beans)
Agent Orange (5 beans)
TH Seeds Heavy Duty Fruity (5 beans)

25 seeds starting in Rapid Rooters on a Hydrofarm heated seedling mat, hoping for between 12-16 females to fill up the space. We'll have to see how the germ rates turn out before counting our chickens tho. All beans looked good except for a few of the Sour Diesel and a couple of the Agent Orange...just small and beige really...not necessarily a sign of bad seeds as I've learned over the years, but just aren't as plump or striped as the others...Gotta love those big, fat, tiger-striped beans...

Starting off in a Homebox XL under some grow tubes, with an air-cooled 400W Solarmax bulb waiting on call... Grow medium will be Hydroton and 5.5" net cups. The "younguns" will be grown in small ebb and flow tables(megagardens)...and eventually end up in the flower area, planted into a Eurogrower 8 bato bucket drip system and Waterfarm/DWC buckets under 1600W of glowing HPS light...one 1000W and a 600W, both air cooled.

Not so much to see yet, but here we go!!!
All comments, constructive criticism, or thoughts are more than welcomed in this thread...

Obviously there isn't too much to show just yet...so hang in there everyone, I promise not to disappoint!! CTSV or anyone else that stumbles across this thread, Any of you grown out these strains before?...Feel free to share!!

Right now, I've got 3 weeks till harvest on some Serious Seed's Bubblegum and Mandala's Satori... Here's a picture of a small Satori bat pheno flower approaching maturity...

Hey Midlifecrisis! I only have the Agent Orange, 2 weeks into flower currently..... What I have noticed so far is that she is a heavy feeder and doesn't clone easily. She is still stretching so I can't tell you how far she will, but she has been stretching a decent amount so far. I am growing her in a 3 gallon smart pot.

Subcool's Dank book says to top and train her, so I did that and she seems to love it. Wish I could be more help but I'm still growing her out.... I will try and update you if I remember! Good luck

Hey MLC! Nothing like a good seed start...The Sour IBL will blow you away, period...She's heavy and tasty and everything good =)

Jack the Ripper has an awesome flavor, NL-hazy kick...great social style weed, not ass-kicking...

The bat pheno refers to nothing but the bud structure... Satoris seem to grow in two different shapes. One is a stretched out "foxtail" shape while the bat phenos are large "can shaped" buds that clump together... There's really no difference in taste, smell or buzz...just a growth pattern is all it is. If you check out my Old Gallery page 9 I believe, there are some pictures showing the different shapes...

Subcool's book Dank, is an awesome read...I'd highly reccomend it I'm stoked that i've caught the beggining of a grow diary that has some subcool genetics. I've been contemplating on Agent Orange for quite some time now...i'm definately going to be following this!

Hey Mid, yeah I have the Agent orange in my thread but haven't updated with AO pics yet, I'll take some tomorrow when I water her. The Dank book is what got me so interested in the Jack's Cleaner 2 that I currently have vegging.... I'll throw one of those in flower next week to get a taste going.

Be careful with the JTR, I have read some people complaining about hermie problems, and the buds I picked up from the club were seeded, so whoever grew out what I got had the same problem.... I have heard people with probs and some who don't get them.... maybe it is only expressed in certain phenotypes? The smoke was very potent, even with the seeds! Just a heads-up man, good luck!

I have ran jacks cleaner 2 several times, very nice smoke supreme flavor of citrice lemon. smells like lemon cleaner when growing. imo best taken at 9 weeks. very uplifting high great for the night shift. some phenos of the jacks cleaner 2 hermied a bit to. also ive heard from others the same thing. still killer strain worth trying.

Hey midlife my gear isnt quite ready. The Lemon grapefruit is... Bluebomber needs a couple weeks yet. i havent talked with bp yet since i originally contacted him. But i am going to email him and get things rolling. ill add the rest of the line up as i go. Thanks for asking and your interest. your skillz are impressive and you shall do great things with this gear. im trying to produce a variety of paletes from grapes to lemons and limes watermelons and cherrys to pungeant Grapefruites and sour candies to creamy bananas and thick chocolate.

I'll keep my eyes open smokesalot420...Whenever starting from seeds, I've found at least one or two plants that throw out some nanners late into flowering... One of the Satori has thrown out a couple that were plucked off over the last 2 weeks. About another week and half and those ladies are getting the cut!!

Well here's my update...

We'll start off with the bad...LOL...
TH Seeds Heavy Duty Fruity 0 out of 5 cracked...very disappointing...
Rez Dog's Sour Diesel IBL 1 out 5 cracked....and died..LOL..another disappointment to say the least... I was really looking forward to growing this strain out. I really believe these were just "older seeds", because here's the good news...

Since I had such a bad start with the afforementioned...I went ahead and dropped 5 more of Reef's Supreme Hash Plant, 5 more of Subcool's Jack the Ripper, 3 of JLP's Mississippi Mud, and 2 of Paradise Seeds Belladonna...

Reeferman's Hash Plant 9 out of 10 cracked and going...
Subcool's JTR 10 of 10 up and going...5 of 5 Agent Orange looking strong!!
JLP's Mississippi Mud 2 of 3 looking great...
...and 2 for 2 with Paradise's Belladonna ...So not all is lost.... This is something I've learned over time and dealing w/seed....Always plant more than you need folks!!

Anyway...Here's a couple of pictures for you...along with some Bubblegum and Satori approaching harvest...

That is so sad about the HDF. It was an awesome strain to grow. To bad I let it get away from me. Had a Cherry jollyracnher pheno that yielded like a pig. Well it sucks about that but. Lets bring on the rest!!!!

Well here's a little update for you...
Things are looking real good right now...just vegging like their master...waiting for preflowers to show their sex. All males will be destroyed, and clones taken from the ladies. The last couple of weeks they've been under a 400watter, but after getting the 3x3 flood table, I swapped it out with a 1000W Venture MH. Looking to get a couple more weeks of vegetative growth before moving into the flower room... Still hoping for between 12 and 16 females. We'll just have to wait and see...

Another little update for you...
Things are moving along rather nicely now. Most plants are showing preflowers and the canopy is filling out rather well... Looks like over the next few days, I'm going to be a busy camper!! Guess I'll start weeding out the males and doing some trim work very soon. After doing the trim work,...they'll get another 10 to 14 days in veg to fill out more, Once thats done, they'll be going into bigger buckets and headed into the flower chamber...

The ph has been between 5.5 and 6.2 with the ppm hovering between 800 and a 1000. These plants are fed every hour for 15 minutes during the daylight hours and once in the middle of night... Humidity has been at a constant 45-60% and the temps are between 62 and 74F. They really seem to be doing great and has me super stoked for their future...
