i read about somebody who was growing a SOG on a flood and drain table in 4" rockwool cubes. I want to try this, but i was just wondering, if they're sitting on the drain table what about the roots...don't they need room underneath the rockwool. they also said that they went straight to flower from rooted clones, skipping veg. just a perpetual SOG. anybody help?

Drbudgenes i think may be who you are talking about. I know there was someone who did a 4" rockwool SOG and claimed some pretty big results.

The roots will grow under the rockwool and just spread out.

Some SOGGERS do go straight from rooted clone to 12/12

I think it depends on the strain I found that some do a lot better with some veg time while others have enough strech to still yeild good with no veg

Try laying down a 1 inch coco mat, your roots will grow through the mat and explode while also being shaded from any light. I once saw someone do this and it seemed to work pretty well.

it was in an Jorge Cervantes book. thnx for the reply.

Well there is/was someone on this site posting about running a perpetual SOG in 4" rockwool claiming REALLY HIGH yields using 400's I think. Some people disagree with his method and there have been some heated arguements about it. You may want to look into it.
