c99 vs. critical mass

as the thread suggests, i have my choice of c99 or critical mass clones. i don't know which pheno the c99 is, but its from a good source. i am going for quantity here, quality is great, but if one yields better i will be more interested in that....

planning to throw these into a 9 bucket bio-bucket system under 1000w hps, so that factors in to what i pick hopefully.

help!

can u get both, they each could outyield each other, being c99 is very early and great yielder, and critical mass has giganto buds, also what are U goin for? indica or sativa (phenos of each will determine also)

maybe indica but this is a cash crop so its not exactly a question of my own preference. bag appeal, odor are very important, as is yield. they both have very short flowering periods. i'll be throwing them into bio buckets so sog performance is not relevant right now, they'll be whatever size bushes i can fit 9 of under a 1kw hps.

I do not have personal experience, but have read that c99 is not a good yielding plant. Critical on the other hand is enormous. good luck, they are both top quality smoke

really? i thought i saw that c99 was a heavy yielder. i guess ill do some more reading....

I've seen some great yielding C99's. You'll get the best taste/potency/bag appeal with C99 i believe.
You'll get a better yield with the Critical Mass though, if that's your primary goal then it's probly your best choice.

as i mentioned earlier, i'm picking up clones from a supplier who has about 50 different mothers, and has 16 strains available. i'm leaning towards the c99 or critical mass, but just to show what i chose out of, the list was: critical mass, grape romulan, romulan, c99, strawberry cream, purple kush, master kush, trainwreck, hawaiin purple kush, sour og, super silver haze, god's gift, big kush, shit, bubba kush, and sour diesel.

Id go w/ C99 and maybe get a couple critical masses so once you grow them all you can find out which one you think yielded better and has better high, taste, odor and so forth

well im going to be growing big plants, so i guess 1x c99 and 1x critical mass.

get both and cross them .you could find a crazy giant yielding c99.. but i would have to go with c99.its getting really hard to find c99 these days.

Id go both just for a mixture one could yield better than the other but one could have better bag appeal but i would ask the person u are getting them off he would know best as he has grown them b4...

ive grown both many times

quality= c99 with great yeild (50 days)
quantity= critmass huge yeild and very potent for a comercial strain (60 days)

would have to be the mass for cash ime

seedbank info on critical mass says 45-55 days flowering. im getting one of each to veg until i chop my current grow, and then i can clone each one enough to fill up my spaces for the next run. are teh flowering times close enough that i could run them together in a biobucket system? i guess the c99 will just go until the critical mass is ready?

good luck finding the reported earl pheno ive unfortunatly not found in a decade.....cut i grew 60 days was for weight, if you come across anything that can do gpw in 45 id like a go myself
