Hey whatchu guys think about adding only the fruit and flower dry ferts and Sunshine mix together as a water only mix?? Seems to have all of the good stuff. Maybe it might work?? I bought a box of it today and wanna use it somehow. It has all kinds of goodies in it.

I grow with a just add water style organics, and I love the POM 5-5-5... great all purpose.
I use it on the floor of the container, use some globally, and topdress with it! I think you could definitely get through a just add water grow with this one. I've never used the fruit and flower formula, but I use the 3-8-8 bulb food as a buffer for hotter nutes. the whole line is great!

Also You should look into True Living Organics by the rev if you haven't already. His spikes and layers methods work bomb for just add water!

peace!!

PS>>Heres a little f-13 for you... I know it's your fave!

Very nice Doobie! Love that F13!

I never knew that the P.O.M. had all that good stuff in it. Get's me scratching my head a little. It seems that I could take this box, and mix it in with all of my old soil and coco blend and maybe she will turn out a nice medium.

It's hard to believe we dont hear more about the line. It seems like really good ingredients. I can smell that seabird guano instantly. Whew!

I use the 5-8-6 for outdoors- it's got everything you need and it's based on bat guano instead of cow guano...

I like to pre-mix mine with worm castings the spray the mix with kelp to kick start the breakdown- great for refreshing last years holes... It's hard to get the different pellets to perfectly blend in small quantities hence the premix...

Get some freakin' dolomite in that mix- you know the Blue family loves the CalMag!!!

Lovely F-13 Doobie!

That's what I was thinkin of doing. Taking all the old soil I have, dumping that box of POM in and some dolemite lime and letsa it marinate with perlite for a few weeks. Might get some super rich goodness out the other end. I cannot get worm castings here. I can order them but shipping is more than the product. I am builing a worm farm but until it is finished, I gotta omit the EWC.

Just yesterday I transplanted four Mandala #1s from 16oz cups to 1 gal. pots using one tablespoon/gallon of HF 5-5-5 (same as POM) as directed. One tablespoon didn't seem like very much. Has anyone successfully increased the amount with good results?

I love this stuff! POM 5-5-5 in veg, then the fruit and flower in Pro Mix. I like to use compost teas also, to add variety to the microbe life. Did some research on the bacillius strains they add, and their pretty tough buggers which helps with their shelf life. I add a little more than 1 tablespoon say a super heaping tablespoon. POM is really good shit it almost makes it to easy. Very tasty end results also. Didnt really have a difference in yield compared to the LC mix. More people should really try this.

I agree. During a conversation I was involved in, the store ownrer was trying to convince my friend that she needed the bottled nutes( foxfarm) since she is an apartment dweller. I am trying to tell her that she need not spend all that dough on these different bottles. She could still build a great soil with Sunshine and POM.

I am going to try a grow using those simple ingredients. If I get good results, I will never look back. I love brewing tea, but I wont buy everything individually anymore. If that box of POM can keep em happy, I will use it from now on.

The POM line was supposed to be terminated sometime this spring and is being replaced by the 'Happy Frog' line of fertilizer mixes. Not to be confused with their 'Happy Frog Potting Soil'

The only difference between the POM line vs. the Happy Frog line was the addition of beneficial fungai.

Check out the mixes from Down-To-Earth. They're in 6-lb. boxes and may be a better price. I use their 'Bio-Fish Mix' but they're all good. As are the POM and Happy Frog product lines.
