Scared shitless: 1st grow (OG Kush(Abusive cut)xMSS, SD, JCxSQ)

Here we are today, my help thread has led me to migrate here and start this!

I have 3 plants at variable heights and will start Flowering them in about 6 days, for several weeks (or till trich ratio desired is attained)

Jacks CleanerXSpace Queen Suffered from slight heat-stress, but to due to me raising it properly, the leaves went from burning to green again after misting with regular water, and then adding a 2nd, even coated mist of the watery Grow Big, misting once again after the Grow Big was sucked dry.. the result is the plant stopped burning and went back to thriving. I noticed new shoots and new growth coming out at alarming rates, with significant growth progress through out the day.

Sour Diesel suffered from heat stress, so I repositioned the fans, moved the light HIGHER and foliar-fed Fox Farm Grow Big, using ultra diluted water.. maybe half of 1/4th a tea spoon in a gallon of water, shook vigorously for a min or so.. sprayed and once the temperature regulated itself to 75.5 degrees @49% Humidity
Before that, though, the SD was burning like crazy, so I clipped off the leaves that were brittle and ready to crumble (sigh) tied string to the stem and I have a thumb tack binding it to the wall, to keep the stem from bending crookedly, and the rest is history

I got my FFA(AbusiveOGXMassSS)
Transplanted, using a 50/50 mix of Fox Farm Light Warrior and Fox Farm Ocean Forest, fed through the leaves with 1 even coat, over, under the leaves.

I plan to feed them on a regular schedule, starting tomorrow, with a fixed
Flowering schedule to follow. (still working the kinks out)

I also want to ask... when should I begin to use Molasses?
I heard it was good stuff and want to know more opinions on it.
Can I use it in conjunction with Fox Farm Tiger Bloom?

Your questions and answers alike are very important to me!

Hey PG, welcome to the Diaries!!!!! Youve got some nice genetics runnin in here bro, are they from seed or clone?? I know the FFA is clone only, so you must know someone here!!!
Or maybe someone made seeds!!!I dont remember....anyhow, lookin good man, but a little more info would help out alot!!! What lites are u usin, soil, nutes, clones, seeds, etc.... I wouldnt foliar feed at all, IMHO, I dont do it, it tends to burn if you dont get it right!!! That could be ur first prob...Also, take some pics out of the HPS glow so we can see the true color of ur plants!! They look like clones to me, so go easy on the nutes cause theyre young, and just dial in all ur environmental stuff...make sure u have good airflow, in & out of the room/closet...dependin on ur lite, make sure its not too close...also, I would tie ur girls a bit so u get an even canopy, itll help with ur yeild, airflow, lites, everything...an even canopy is very important, no matter how many plants or lites u have!!! Dont overwater and more importantly, dont underwater!!! IDK, thats all I got for now, but I got u tagged bro so Ill be checkin back in...use the peeps here, theyre all good peeps with tons of great knowledge!!!! We all share the love around here, so take advantage of it to help dial in ur grow!!! Peace

You have some top notch genes in here. You're lucky to have access to A+ shit.

I usually add 1tsp molasses/gallon with every watering during flower until the start of flush.

Good Luck. I hope they shine for you.

MARLO

Thank you, everyone!

Your words are so kind and actually give me the motivation continue with a more fortified approach!

Ineed, all plants are clones..

About pictures; I can take more pictures tomorrow, as I am going back down to my spot with a new fan, so I can clean it up more.

I fed through the leaves because the plants were burning under the 600watt light, but even without your wonderful advice, I had planned not to feed through the leaves once the plants can sustain themselves under the light.(within 2 days I will strictly root feed)

The SD is a friends plant which I am helping him grow, I took it over and tossed it in, I fixed the burning and discoloration as the leaves were starting to turn light green and brittle.. after my feeding frenzy, 2 hours later, the leaves became more leather-like in texture and went back down to darker hues.

FFA is a clone given to me by a friend. I'm going to take a couple of clones to make a mom and grow one out, but this one is growing out for sure.

I'll make a new clone and start with a solid vegging setup later on.

Light: is Sungrow Lamp/Reflector w/Hortilux 600watt wide spectrum bulb connected to Galaxy Digital Ballast.

Nutes: Fox Farm Grow Big (watery solution I made at half the half recommended usage)

Nutes Available: Fox Farm Grow Big, Fox Farm Tiger Bloom, Alfalfa, Bat Guano

97% reflective Mylar

4 gallon buckets, while the bucket the FFA is in, is 5 gallons.

4 gallon buckets are just Fox Farm OF, while the 5 gal. is the 50/50 of LW/OF

I have a question.. what would be a good feeding schedule based on the information I have provided and the nutes I have?

I also want to thank Marlo for answering my Molasses question as I DO want to try it out! (hear nothing but good things about it.)

Edit: I also want to add I had my hands in the pics to show size ratio! (FBI will be after me for giving my plants the thumbs up?lol)

I wouldn't put it past me if they can verify finger prints via images.

actually 'Noid, if you have any kind of record, or were printed for anything at all, then yeah, you can be id'd by images. Use a lighter or something to show size comparisons..
Always use molasses in your water and your feedings. Are you bubbling your water?
Something else you may want to try seeing as how you are using large buckets is mycorrizae. It's a root enhancer.
A good feeding schedule is one that you can dial in after you get to know your strains. I usually would water one day, let em dry up (couple days), water again, let em dry up(couple days) then a water to wet the soil and then the feeding soon after, like within an hour or so.
So, you're basically feeding once every 7 or so days, give or take.
Remember to cut back on the N after you flip to flower..

What brand of Molasses should I get?

Every water and feeding... what is the ratio to a gallon, good sir?

(I can see myself conforming to this schedule)

Got off the phone with my buddy earlier... all 3 plants have improved!:muahaha:

Also, I have Fox Farm Peace of Mind, which has mycorrizae(sp?)

Any tips for a Tea with the nutes I have, based on the info I have provided, Cellar?
I wouldn't mind trying a suggestion from that glorious, green brain of yours.:bow::bow:

Anything unsulphered for molasses. Grandma's works just fine. 1 tb per gallon.
for reference on a tea, go to the sticky "Organics for Beginners" and do a search.
Most teas are composed of molasses, guano, micorrizae whatever ferts you choose to use, etc..just remember to bubble your tea overnight before using for best results..
don't forget, we were all in the same boat as you at one time..

edit: oh yeah, forgot to mention that you can start upping the nutes when you see the plants can take it from half strength.

1-2 TEASPOONS per gallon on the Mole Asses. IMO a tablespoon is a bit much. (No offense cellardwellar, just my experience. Also, keeps me from buying so much molasses.)

I use Brier Rabbit "Blackstrap".

IMO, I would stop getting distilled bottled water. Get a PUR filter for your sink, or fill a 5gal with water and put a airstone in it for a 48-72 hours. Way back when, I used to go with my buddies, and by 10-15 gallons of distilled water at a time...Not very stealth...

I use the Peace of Mind dry ferts, Tiger Bloom, and Big Bloom, and that same guano. You got some good nutes there. I am not sure if you can get it, but I think the Fox Farm perlite is superior to other brands. Super chunky!

Good Luck!

C

cellardweller

no offense taken, CT. I used it at 1 tb per as thats what mostly everyone recommended and had no problems, never tried it less than that though. I can see where the savings would come in over time.

C

CTSV

I can't take credit for it....

I am just following Suby's advice.

To tell you the truth, I was a 1-2 tablespoon per gallon guy up until a couple months ago. Molasses are cheap, but going and buying it is a pain...well not really...I am just super lazy.

Ok! 1 Tb per gallon.. I'll go make some, when I get to the spot.
Water every 2 days or so, or when the the soil seems dry. Every water w/ Molasses.

I am going to do the first feeding today and wait several days before I start flower feeding.
I want to make a flowering Tea... how is this...
half recommended amount of Peace of Mind + 1 tb of Molasses + 1/4 tb of Tiger bloom?

Should I stop Flower-feeding 2 weeks before I plant to harvest? (continue using Molasses up until the harvest day?)

I'm going over there soon with one of those oscillating vertical fans w/ built in ionizer, so I can remove that round, bulky fan that is taking up space.

I'll be back soon with pics of the plants without the HPS on, and of course a health report.

I REALLY appreciate this as it makes the learning curve much easier, thanks to you guys!

nice start here pg,good peeps helpin ya.i use 1 tbsp a gallon w/ mollaasses too yo.also i bubble my tea for a few days and it gets nice and frothy, all them macr/micro organisms get active as hell or something but the plants love it yo.
do the lift the pot method to see when ya need water,if they are light water them.also like cella said when its the day you feed,do a pre-water to moisten the soil yo.that way you dont waste all ur nutes with the drainage...i do like this, whatever amount im feedin each girl i pre water that much as well for instance if they are big and gettin a 1/2 gallon each time,i will water a half gallon then feed them a half gallon...BUT make sure you pre-water then wait like a 1/2 hr so all the soil is moistened up then do ur feeding yo.
workd great you will notice the difference yo.
also i have the FFA as well, you are in for a treat if you havnt grown her already, make sure you take clones cause you will want her around for along ass time brotha...great smoke...keep it cool with the nutes on her for the 1st couple weeks of flower, like 1/2 dose of veg and flower nutes she will stretch a bit so you want to give her 1/2 veg nutes with ur bloom recipe....after the 1st 3 weeks or so she can eat like a mf yo you can bring the nutes up with her to the regular dose and stop the veg nutes at week 2 of flower...and also let her go till atleast 70 days and you will be in love.dry her slow or them humungous ass swollen calyxes will be too brittle and break apart on ya.
any questions ask away fam im gonna tag up now....sorry for the long ass post hehehe im stoned.peace-T-

Hey bro, ur gettin ALOT of good advice in here!!! I would have to agree with everything T, CD & Dog has said...actually, I have yet to use molasses, but when I get back up, Ill be usin exclusively for flowering & flush...and yes, last 2-3 weeks, I flush with plain water & some form of sugar...water & molasses is great and makes a BIG diff in yield & taste!!!trust T, he knows!!! Ummm...a 600w is alot for thos ebabies bro, make sure the lite is at least 2 feet away from the canopy with good fan blowin on them!!! Thats alot of heat!! OK, more pics pleez...Peace

yup, just be sure to do your homework and things should fall right into place as time goes by..
edit: Learn transplant timing - To soon is a waste, wait to long and you'll stunt their potential. Properly timed transplanting will result in tremendous plant growth

50/50 report...some bad some good..

50/50 report...some bad some good..

I added a small outtake air duct system to the space, temps around 78-81 degrees F with 41% humidity

One the day of my last post, I had watered all three plants with normal water, filtered with Brita filter.... 3 even waters, using a mixture of Molasses(1tb spoon) and Fox Farm Big Grow (1 tea spoon)

Plants all thrived, but fast forward today... Jacks CleanerxSpace Queen is doing marvelous, Sour Diesel is hanging in there, improving gradually, while the FFA is sick?
Let me show you what I mean...
