PVC tube

any actual proof yet that PVC tube contaminates BHO?

i've used the same PVC for quite a few test-runs now, and havent noticed anything bad.

just wondering if there is any evidence that butane corrodes pvc?

my friends did one run through PVC and the oil/hash has a definite plastic quality to it. like where my bho turns sticky but gooey, then if i degass it itll become brittle. his however, instead of sticky and gooey becomes hard and plastic like, theres little good taste to it.

yeah i wouldnt take the risk man..

get a regular plastic tube from lowes.. couple plastic end caps, pretty cheap shit i think i spent bout 3-5 bucks total

Or even better is stainless, I found a cigar tube from a Churchill that was lying around, I drilled out both ends and it gave me a very good 1/2 oz tube for when I didn't have a whole oz to process, you'd be amazed what you can find around the house look around. Just make sure your sure you know what material it's made out of. Brass and a few other things are no no's check out this link for a list of materials that are and are not safe.

no dude, plastic is not the answer. what do you want to bet your plastic is ABS or APC

my mistake, i didnt tell you how i do it, its mentioned here, find a stainless steel turkey baster for 5$, itll never corrode like plastic or react like copper tubing.

yeah stainless steel would be ideal
i wasnt aware there were any health risks asscociated with non PVC plastics.

Plastics in general aren't the greatest, when your making oil with a tube technically made from an oil itself, reactions could be bad. Would you believe cannabis smoke, and probably other smoke in general, pulls chemicals out of PVC that are terrible for you? I was looking into acrylic alternatives for bongs and hoped PVC would be a good one, very wrong, turned out PVC, ABS, APC and the like are the last thing you wanna use.

I know many people say PVC is okay for BHO but finding something like stainless that you know you won't get any contaminates from is worth the investment, I mean common, whats the price on your health right?
