It was much more than a marijuana bust.
It was a marijuana bus.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said a trooper on routine patrol spotted an abandoned yellow school bus Saturday morning along U.S. 59 in Webb County. The area is close to the Mexican border.
Inside the bus: more than 9,200 pounds of pot with an estimated street value of $3.9 million.
DPS said it is the second-largest marijuana seizure during routine traffic enforcement in a dozen years.
No suspects are in custody.
